  1. Good Luck in the tournament kylek!! Space Monkey's are one of my biggest producers. They can be fished as a topwater bait on a 4/0 Screwlock hook, Rage Rigged on a 4/0 1/4 oz keel weighted screwlock hook. Bass kill it on the fall. Lately I've been using them on a 1/4 oz swim jig head and they hammer that as well.
  2. Space Monkey: Rage Rigged, Texas Rigged, Carolina Rigged and on a Swim Jig Head. Black/Blue, Grubs: Deadly on a Jig head, Swim Jig Trailer Craws: Flat out ridiculous as a jig trailer, Rage Rigged
  3. Ragetail Space Monkey in Black with Blue Flake.
  4. Worth every penny in most aspects. Especially as Kent alluded to the pointers they're every bit as good as the Megabass version. The RC2 square bill was the best SB crank that I've ever used and I've used them all.
  5. Do what makes you happy and ignore those that try to bring you down. If that style works for you no one should care.
  6. Also the basic reel ratio of 6.4:1 is your all around performer. The shortest rod I would buy would be a 6'6 but 7' would be better. For line I would use 10-12lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid and KVD Line Conditioner.
  7. Black/Blue, Black/Red, Black/Chartreuse and straight Chartreuse are the colors I generally use in those situations. Also for me rattles and Colorado spinnerbaits also do the trick.
  8. Buy the best that you can afford is my first piece of advice. Second if you're gonna be fishing soft plastics I would suggest that you use a rod with a medium heavy rating with a fast action tip. Good luck and tightlines!!
  9. Rage Tail Yamamoto
  10. I always have a tube of Megastrike with me. It just works!!
  11. Outside of my kids and dad, Pro either Hank Parker or KVD. Otherwise Catt, Kent or Big O.
  12. Good Ideas NitroFreak!! I'll add that to the action Plan.
  13. Thank You All!! I appreciate your time and ideas!! I'm going to see what I can get together with all of your ideas.
  14. Thanks SirSnookalot. I have no intentions of confrontation with any of these guys.
  15. As fisherman see public access to fisheries dwindle, I've become frustrated for a couple of reasons. Development and lake ownership rights continue to take away access. Also this year so far has been the worst I've seen so far for bad behavior by fisherman. I continue to find litter, trash, line left behind, gut hooked fish thrown back in the water to die and worse than that I'm finding stringers of dead fish left on the banks of multiple fisheries. My friends and I carry a garbage bag and try to clean up and take the garbage with us that we find. If this stuff continues I see fishing becoming tougher and places to fish fewer. Just venting and looking for any ideas that you guys may have. I'm very passionate about fishing and want to do anything I can to preserve this wonderful sport for future generations.
  16. I'm with Vinny on this one, 1/4-3/8 oz for me.
  17. My friends and I are looking to take a day trip up to either Ballston Lake or Round Lake this weekend. We are bank fisherman without a boat. I've never been to either and are looking for advice. Thanks in advance for any replies.
  18. Lake Fork FTW. I would love to have the opportunity to land one of them monsters!!
  19. Keitech Swing Impact, Ragetail Grub and Rage Tail Craw are my swim jig trailers of choice.
  20. It's my least favorite way to fish. If all else fails though I will toss one before leaving a body of water.
  21. I use a black and a colored flake to remain nameless that I painted. It flat out hammers in every water condition that I have tried.
  22. I'm using 5 baits and my average bass sizes are larger. By concentrating more on locating structure and cover my quantity is up as well.
