  1. I caught 4lb bass on it, I also caught a 15lb drum in the bay.
  2. I'm gonna be going to Alaska in May, fishing excursion and a cruise trip, the cruise goes from Anchorage to Vancouver. I'm going to be wearing my Boston Bruins jersey in downtown Vancouver.
  3. My Emmrod Packer, just under 2'. I love it. I have a Daiwa Millionaire on it.
  4. BASSclary, that'd be sweet man, my shore rods suck. I got like 10 rods all under 100$ for my shore fishing gear. My kayak rods/gear is where my money is spent.
  5. I have heard great things from them, but I can't really say much about them since I only own a powell diesel.
  6. This accounts for dependability, customer service, and your experience with the rod. My top 2 rod companies are Big Bear Rods and G-Loomis, now the Big Bear Micro Spiral casting rod I was given is without a doubt, the best rod in the world, it has served me well. The blank began to crack due to being stored in a high humidity garage, I called up Big Bear and they replaced it free of charge, I was pretty happy about that. And then my G-Loomis Bronzeback, I got on the phone with the company and a sales rep helped me pick out a rod for tube fishing, very nice employee. I was very happy with both rods and the companies of which they came from. What are your experiences with rod companies and tell me your favorites.
  7. I use a Pfluger President packed with 60lb yellow Power Pro for visibility on a Team Daiwa L&T Frog Rod
  8. alright thanks man! I'll probably use it for heavy stuff, large traps and live rigging. Snakeheads are going crazy this spring.
  9. So my girlfriend picked up a casting Ugly Stick for me to use as a rod to fool around with, it's a 6'0" Heavy Action Rod, really heavy duty with a fast tip, good backbone. I have been needing a rod to use for snakehead as I do not want to break one of my finesse rods on a silly snakehead. I was wondering if this will also make a fair frog rod, it's a little short but I think it's pretty accurate when it comes to casting, I'll be putting an Abu Kalex on it.
  10. The Rebel Frog-R, is pretty much awesome. I'll be putting a review up soon.
  11. I replace them with SureSet hooks that they use on the rapala DT's.
  12. I use them on a regular basis, My review on them,
  13. I had a spinning rod break on a carp that got hooked on the fin, an then my beautiful fenwick Gary Loomis broke on a snakehead, 8lb was what the rod was rated for. Those are the only rods I have broken
  14. I tried the improved clinch and it kept slipping so I tried the triline knot and bam! It was perfect. Thank you guys.
  15. For the longest time, I have been putting a drop of super glue at the knot when I tie my spinner baits. I use 17# suffix and can never get a perfect knot on the spinnerbait wire. I'm fine when I tie cranks and other sorts of lures, but when it comes to spinnerbaits I just dap a lil super glue on. Is this okay? It woks for me. Just don't wanna lose my expensive spinnerbaits.
  16. I'm colorblind in one eye so my fishing glasses are amber in one lens an blue mirror in the other, don't ask how but it allows me to see clearly. My eye doctor did it for me.
  17. I did both the survey and quiz, my girlfriend let me use her information and I did the quiz and survey again. Hopefully I got 4 packs of hooks coming
  18. I have an Ardent Edge Inshore Pro 5.1:1 on a G-Loomis GL2 Crankbait 6'0" Medium, my favorite set up I have ever used.
  19. . I use them often, I have caught several hogs on them.
  20. Look at Simms and Fishpond.
  21. Caught 2 three pound bass on a blueback herring prop bait:D
  22. yes sir! what you have to do is use light tackle, 8 - 9 pound flouro, and a fast action rod. Works beautifully. Buy the one with the plastic lip, the one that's lipless sucks. Let it sink and jerk retrieve. Try putting a small splitshot about your knot. I caught my PB on an 8" kicking minnow last year.
  23. that's what she said! Jussst kidding, that's awesome man, those things are a major innovation in today's fishing apparatus.
