hey wolf, i here alot of people talking at the "not just fishing store" about how lots of 6 lb toads get pulled out of rhodhiss. i am sure they are hey my buddy heard stories.. but as a kid back in the day me and my cousin would take his boat out and slay em on power worms in the red shad color, back then i dont think it was called that then.. anyway looks like a good lake

thanks yall, i went this evening and free styled it, as in shoe-less water is still freezing to me, lol walked with the shore line and waided about a foot into the water. didn't see any beds, though i dont have a pare of polarized, hope i can fan some to fit my face, agian thanx yall... i did take a jerkbait rod with me, and nothing got completly skunked. i did watch the boats role in and seen alot with football jigs and jerkbaits. give it a good try again Friday..

throw a frog on top of the weedline, or a popper, get up early and topwater, my fav kinda fishing

So if i wanted a super lite reel for my carrot PG, would this be worth, or is there better lite reels out there for the price..???

not sure about bass, but when i catfish i have 2 black lights and it lights my line up like crazy, no problem with cats and an occasinal striper

i agree, we catfsh from a boat(when my uncles wanna go) and sometimes i sneek either a topwater rod or a spinning setup for light spinnerbaits and worms.. i think it is funny that even though its dark, black.purple and red, catch best for me

i like a longer rod, 7'2 compre is what i have, some people use smaller, to me, and if you are on a budjet, a pro maxx 7 gear is a must, if you are throwing it around junk, also for me what till water is around 65, though depends on were ya live some are throwing frogs over beds

hey man i understand but loading around 4 rods and a tackle bag, and walkin a mile or so along the shore wilth nothing lately is getting very old. I catch dinks in a few ponds but really want to try my and at something bigger than a lb. idk, though I do know not having a boat is getting old.. i *** ya guys

thanks for the help, so say if the slope shoreline goes out 5 feet then drops to like 8 feet and is close to cover then may be a good chance. ok let me ask this, will they bed shallow, even if it isn't close to the bank. There is a cove were i fish, i see bass fisherman in boats(sure they have electronics to help) pull up to entrance of cove and just cover it from side to side. My opnion is that this is a shallow cove and the are spawning every were in it(not just next to the shore but as long as it is shallow everywere,... Geezz I hope that made since.

first year fishing this early.. i have watched countless vids about spawn, with no help, i may be dumb... So my lake temp is 60 some, so if i am fishing the bank, then i want to cast along it. That lets me throw around there beds and puts me in the zone. Right?? Also how deep do bass spawn out? if i cant seem close to the shore does that mean they are not there. Should i stay away from flipping and pitchin docks and just throw a squarebill and spinnerbait along side the shore.. sorry but i still feel confused, i usally fish in summer and no matter how or what i do, i usally catch a few.

welp, karma is a.... on the free trokar deal, i got my family to do it so i could reap the rewards... I ened up with all size 2 (i think) finesse hooks, i tried to use em on my 5 inch berkly worms and the hook still looks to little on it.. man i wanted some flippin hooks.. ohwell

hey i know that ponds get warmer quicker, so this may be indication, cause today after spring cleaning at the camper, i was throwing a shakey head, but kept seeing bass blow-up on mating dragon flys and other bugs,.. i was hurried when i left and didnt bring a single tackle box with a topwater today, though i did bring my topwater setup... ewwwhh. i was ticked lol

starting to sound like some bass thug weekend warrior at my home lake, when i am stuck on the shore trying to learn from them and when i ask them a question i get a smart ass answer
