  1. i am no were near qualified to anwser this, lol but IMO i like berkly alot, heck i could never be sponsered by one plastic company, i like too many brands if you are just starting dont really pick the prurty colors, stick to basics,... pumpkin, green pumpkin, motor oil, also fish here seem to like red bug and june bug. Not sure if berley havocs have there worm out yet, but there pit boss and devil spear serve me well for T rigging, pitchen, shakeky,and the devil i swim bair rig it somtimes.
  2. believe it was a few jerk baits and a few lipless, i went tonite, to pick up non fishing things, apprently someone likes them, only seven lipless baits left..
  3. i know you seasoned pros will know, while i was picking up a few Xcaliburs(see other post) i saw there 2.00 cordells on sale for a buck.. worth picking up, i rememer as a kid going through uncles tackle box and looking at his old cotten cordells for musky, still have some.. anyway, i am sure there hooks aint great, anyway are there prouducers for ya.. with all these expensive ones out there, i wonder if the good ole ins catch em

  5. i have enjoyed this thread and hav a question, if the OP dont mind it, maybe even help him... if i am searching the back in of a pond with possibility of 10 ft deep water and its open water (on top) will a C-rig be a good start.. There is a small dock in the middle no way to walk to it(maybe for pond maintance) could i crawl a C-rig across it.. again hope the Op doesnt mind, but no need to make a thread similur to this thank you fine people

  7. i live in NC, 55-60s all last week though the nights got chilly. this week all 80s, extended i believe next week we see 60s & 70s. when ole when is a good time, i heard during spawn they may hit if ya tick em off good enough, So unless you are from Florida when do us Southern peeps start topwater.. as i write this i am staring at 2 topwater rods, a rod just for my buzzbaits and a brand new never used 7'2 compre with a sexy nw 7:3.1 quatum smoke with some suffix 832( was told it didnt sink, hope it will be good frog line) for my frog rod.. they are saying Steven pleas use us.. thank ya

  9. yea they didnt have extravogant sales, but i needed a bunch of stuff, since i am starting big in the bass world, i ended up getting a vendetta, quatum smoke, PQ, shimano compre rod, so i had a few big ticket item to begain with.

  13. hey guess i can highjack since its my thread lol....... my gf is using the spinning reel and catching them lol, I wanna be part of the action so i have been using my jerkbait rod 6'6 M with a cheaper BPS extreme with 12 lb fluro, so is the line good, i have head kvd using 17 lb mono and some using fluro, is there really a differance, i do know the differance between the line,

  15. yep 78-80 all week, hitting up some ponds, rolling a craw daddy spinnerbait across some beds
  16. i love most of Ri stuff, and me loving to pitch, the sweet beavers are the bomb, havnt found any store with the kinky beavs yet
  17. around Newton, about 45 mins from charoltte, i fish hickory and james, from the shore, may try norman from the shore this summer

  19. alright thanx guys, i hav been using my jerkbait rod for my spinnerbaits, since at moment i dont use em enough to justify a new setup, gf can use the spinning then thank you-ins
  20. haha plus the articles, guess i am making of monday of it. lol my gf fishes with me aswell, whats your opnions on using spinning gear. i know that vid says not to but i doubt the gf will learn to use a baitcaster, if we find a 6:5.1 gear ratio

  24. i searched the forum and still am confused about em. first off i have read you can fish em deep and well anyway, but my friends swear ya gotta keep it close the top were you can see it. second, if you dont have any spinnerbaits what would you get. i know the differance in blades. and purple and black for night. Also know small blades are for fast and deep,and then big blades or for slow and deep. now i was gave some new baits for christmas. a few chartrouse, straight whites, whites with black in em, few crawdead colors with craw colored blade. Then a few that are black and a few purple midnight special with rattles. Are these good colors, again I know i said if i didnt have any, so i wanna you to treat it as if i dont have any and tell me what you would get.
