I've tried the crawfish boil thing, and they tasted like well... Mud bugs. Maybe I did something wrong in prepping them

Pictures are certainly deceiving. Take for example these photos. Everyone swears this girl went bigger than what she did because of her length. However I remember what the scale read when she was on it.

Unclaimed Mn State Record Bass?
At least we agree on something. I'm sure your horse is short, I'm sure you're a great dude to fish with. Shoot, I'm sure we'd probably have a blast on the water together. However, your tone in this thread doesn't necessarily exemplify that. Anyhow, I've rambled on enough and I don't want this to go any further than it need to. Tight lines robdob, and I'll see you on the water.

Unclaimed Mn State Record Bass?
You don't like giving people the benefit of the doubt, do you? I will agree with you that there are probably a number of folks here who "fudge" their numbers. However, for the most part, I've found the bulk of the members here to be nothing but honest. 99% of the folks here aren't telling the truth about their personal bests? Come on man, get off your high horse. There are a number of anglers here that are also probably every bit as good, if not better than some of the elite anglers. You might then ask me, "why aren't they out there doing it with them?" It takes a lot more than a good fishermen to be part of the elite angler circuit. Money for starters. We could get into more of the particulars if you really wanted to.

I've tangled with/ weighed quite a few number of high 5's low 6's (but no high 6's interestingly enough). This fish... was different than those fish. I'd put it somewhere around 7-7.25 personally.

I Would Like To Play The "how Much Did It Weigh" Game
There was a time in my life, where for some reason I didn't keep a scale around. Call me foolish. Perhaps I just didn't see the need for one at the time (I've since seen the error of my ways. It is nice to have something more official than an eyeball guesstimate.) That being said, here is a fish I caught in the year of 2010. I had just gotten back into fishing that year, and my ultimate goal at the time was simply to catch "a 5 pounder." In fact, I'd never caught a bass over three pounds up until that year. Then it happened at a pond a buddy took me to. This thing was a true kansas swamp donkey. Call pond fishin' what you will, this bass was huge. Obviously, this was a "5 pounder". I didn't have a scale though, and I sure wish I would've. So let's play a game. What do you think this bass weighed? We'll never be able to know for sure, but it sure is nice to speculate.

I not prodding at you for the remarks you made to the op. Rather, it's your attitude in general to the others in this thread. Your tone just kind of sounds like you enjoy putting a finger in other folks eyeballs. I don't like that.

Where Will World Record Bass Be?
I'll add what you guys don't know is i'm gonna buy a few florida strain LMB, keep em in a hot tub with a constant water temperature of 67.9 degrees. These fish will be handfed trout filets injected with growth hormones. When they get big enough, I will drop a senko in said tub. Rest is history fellers.

Where Will World Record Bass Be?
I'm gonna go against the grain here and just let you guys know that the next world record is gonna come out of kansas, and it's gonna be caught by me. Don't be surprised when it happens, because you heard it here first

In Pursuit Of Giant Bass ~ One Man's Journey
Ajay, you've mentioned stitching a live crawdad. I believe artificial baits have come quite the long way from the time Murphy fished em. Especially creature style baits for that matter. Do you think stitching a rage lobster, or perhaps even something like a river2sea crawler would be advantageous? (tackle warehouse even suggest fishing crawler behind a split shot). And though we are getting outside of the realm with stitching here (which by the way, murphy did not always do as you have mentioned), what about slow dragging a craw bait on a standup head in these areas? It would seem, as it has been duly noted, that murphy was about Catching these fish. The destination wasn't the methods. The destination was catching big bass which he commonly found on specific structures.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Went to garnett cedar valley saturday to do battle with the wind. My buddy and I caught fish on rattle traps, shakey heads, jigs, and our best fish came on squarebills. Wind blown rocky areas with drops near shallow water were best. If timber was near by, that was better still. My best 5 fish would've gone somewhere between 13-14. With my buddies catches, probably somewhere closer between 15-16. That's not a bad day for only having fished for 5 hours. If the wind wouldn't have came up at noon, I would like to think our sack would've ended up closer to 19-20. That last fish there went 4 1/2
