  1. I personally prefer a GY twin or single tail grub!
  2. I'm in stillwater,mn. But I usually fish north west wisconsin
  3. I fish a lot in the siren area, really good lakes!
  4. I got one of mine that I had ordered, very big but I can't wait to use it in 30 ft of water! Its easily twice the size of a 6xd! The rattle in it sounds a bit much just shaking it in my hand.
  5. sounds good! we will plan on that monday. where about do you live so we can meet up? pm me if you want
  6. unless the 6th would work for you? that monday, its just a fun tourney. customer appreciation for northern wholesale and supply.
  7. How does august 4th sound? im busy this weekend, i will be up in northeast wisconsin fishing/ camping in the danbury area.
  8. there was probably 6 boats on it, i picked #28 to launch though lol so i didnt want to get on it and be too close to other people. I have a tourney on tonka on the 8th, was wondering if you would want to pre fish it with my partner and I?
  9. Tournament last night on green lake in chisago co. we started off the first half hour in the furthest south end in the slop with nothing, then we made a slight change with how we were fishing the area and cought 5 13''-15'' fish in about 10 minutes. but they didnt get any bigger. So we made a run up to little green and fished a weed flat in about 6'-8' of water and culled all the smaller ones with 2lb fish, then that slowed down to nothing. We then got on a shallower weed flat and threw topwater poppers and walking lures and culled out two more fish, with the last one being 4.5lbs and only 3 minutes before we had to head to weigh in! we ended up with 12.45lbs for the night.
  10. Nice! what did you catch them on?
  11. Yeah, did you do well? hit any rock at all?
  12. Not yet, i have a tournament out there on the 8th so i guess we will see how it goes, i might go into it blind if i dont have time to pre fish it :/ i have one on green lake on tuesday the 24th so ill be pre fishing that tomorrow after work. i hope my docks and wedlines are looking good out there! have you fished any tournaments this year?
  13. I have been doing pretty good over all some lakes have been just terrible and some were awesome. have you hit tonka at all yet?
  14. i think it was some sort of finesse, not sure what though. how have you been doing this summer?
  15. i thought the team with 17.5 was gonna take it
  16. Last night was the third tuesday night league tournament in the FRANKIES tuesday night league, and there were some very impressive fish cought. it was on north and south center lakes in lindstrom, mn. we weighed in with a 13 lb bag (remember only a 3.5 hour tournament) with one that i cought on a swim senko flipping docks that weighed 5.54 lbs! i thought we were doing good since its such a short tourney, only to see a team come in with 21.94 lb bag!!! 4.4 lb average for 5 fish, with one 5.74 lber! amazing fish for such a short tournament, heck even for an all day event!
  17. I really like to throw senkos with a 6/0 owner beast screw lock hook at docks and vegitation on the lakes by me, most of them are really dirty water so the big hook doesnt effect it, but in clear water i go to a 4/0 owner, bubble gum is an awesome color up here as well as watermelon red.
  18. i always use them as a trailer on my jigs when im flippin, and i really like them for C-rigging aswell.
  19. I have a tournament coming up on east and west rush lakes and was wondering if anyone has fished them?
  20. Has anybody used a minn-kota talon on here? i want a power pole but $2000 is alot, and i can get a talon for $1000. my concerns are since it is telescopic, does water and debris get in the shaft and corrode the internals or is it a really solid unit? any feedback would be great! thanks.
  21. to me it sounds a little sketchy to tow something that big with a little rav4, mainly cause of wheelbase and brakes. if something were to happen to the trailer brakes, the rav4 would be struggling to stop it, from a distance it would but if you had to hit them hard for any reason i would see them locking up and the rig "jack knifing" with the short wheel base/ light wheight of the rav4. just my thoughts. be safe and good luck!
  22. Start reeling the instant it hits the water with your rod tip up high, I don't se why this wouldn't work unless you have a rod no longer than 4' long.
  23. How was this past weekend for everyone? I only could get out today for 4 hours on bigyou carneilian and cought a dozen fish. Wasn't very impressive but all were over 2 pounds, all were jig fish but two on a bubble gum senko.
  24. AWESOME! i only have 3 left, such a good reaction strike bait when you "rip" them. just reel as fast as you can over the top of weed beds or flats and you just slay them! they run more tru than any rattle trap running as fast as you can reel and have really good sound as well!
