Does anyone know if they still make the "speed trap"?

check out the OWNER BEAST hooks, my absolute favorite for plastic frog/ tube fishing. they last alot longer too!

my go to color for top water is something with a white belly. almost always, like 95% of the time for me thats the best color for topwater. my second choice would be the complete opposite, black, but thats more of an "open" water area. not fishing the slop.

Nice! thats good to hear! i got out on sunday and it was a zoo, managed to catch a dozen or so males cranking the outside edge of a hump and a few 3 pounders flippin docks, also a big female in some slop on an ish's phat frog. its always fun catching 4-5lb+ fish on top water in the thick stuff! the lake was so busy it was unreal, i was on demontreville/ olson lake.

How did everybody do last weekend?

better get to demontreville early, its been very busy this year! almost never a spot in the parking lot. but really good fish in it!

come up and fish chisago lakes, its a little further than 30 mins but its good fishing! hold big bass too! im in stillwater about 20 minutes from you and chisago is about 20 minutes from me... let me know if you want to fish it with me, i have pre fishing to do on green lakes and north/ south center.

If I dont know what color works well in a dirty water lake i always go to a black or blue, more towards the black... especially jig fishing.

I couldnt agree more with the 3'' chigger craw! my #1 craw for smaller jigs, fairly inexpensive too!

Im more of a black/ blue jig kind of guy but i have done well with brown/ black jigs aswell, with havoc pit boss lately vs the old reliable pork chunk.

i cought one fish on a bed this weekend and it wasnt a male, it was a 4.5lb female! all i was seeing were males on beds. only on one lake did i see fish on beds... i was on 5 different lakes in the burnett county area. i would say post spawn by the end of the month maybe during.

I have the same motor on my boat and it runs alot better with non oxygenated premium. its kind of hard to find and about the same price as regular premium but doesnt contain ethonol. honstly night and day difference between it and regular unleaded.

Jig, hands down!

i live in stillwater and fish chisago area lakes really often! south and north center are my favorites up there and my most favorite lake is minnetonka.

i agree its annoying when they ask but every once in awhile when i go out and just catch a few panfish and throw them in the livewell, i will offer them. if its no worth my time to clean the five sunnies and there are a couple people fishing from the launch not doing so well.

I will be the first one to say that my 27 baitcasting set ups and 5 spinning set ups is a little over kill, but i can say that i do have a use for every one of them for different situations.

same here! i have had beretta's and 1100's and shot super black eagle 1/2, but i like this one the best so far! shoots awesome patterns for geese at 60+ yards.

as for a slower retrieveing reel... only on liped crankbaits from my personal choice and from what i have always been told. On flipping or pitching, i prefer a fast retrieveing reel 6 or 7.

what is a jika rig? sorry if im out of the loop on this one haha
