  1. LOL nice post. I would think drinking keystone is along the lines of gator aid and water. It is probably very cold and hydrating while tasting nothing like beer. Seems ok to me, pass the keystone around.
  2. Morris made his first allstar team the year I was born. What I recall was the end of his career. But his numbers clearly are not dominante. 1,000 less Ks (3800/2400) than IP, 1.30 career whip, 3.90 era 254 wins 186 loss......it isn't impressive. For that matter Shcilling Ks to innings pitched both about 3,200. 1.14 whip, 3.46 era and 216 wins to 146 loss his problem was he couldn't stay healthy or he might have been legendary. In this day and age anything under 1.20 for a whip in a season in good. Now maddux on the other hand. 5000 innings pitched. 1.14 whip, 3.14 era 355 wins longevity and caliber of teams has to play into it too Tough call for all of them, glad I don't vote.
  3. I grew up an O's fan but 1994 made me a Phillies fan(shhh don't tell Nitro nats came along too late but I root for them too). Sure wish the Phils would beat the Yanks in that series too. Love that they have Halladay and Hamels, Lee. Howard should be back 100%, they will be in the mix for sure with the Braves and Nats.
  4. I was being scarcastic. LOL hardly. My 2 yr old had 8 stiches on his chin and he was playing 1 hour later, Curt wasn't nothing special except for wicked movement on a 98 mph heater. But he struck a lot of people out, was a character and fun to watch pitch.
  5. Yeah shcilling only has something like 2 or 3, 20 win seasons. I mainly like him because I remeber him from the O's....Glen Davis pleeease.....and the 1994 phillies. Kruk, Hollins, Dalton, Schilling, and the Wildthing....cast of characters right there. d**n you Joe Carter you riuned it!
  6. I agree about Eli, and for the most part Flacco being inconsistent. But I think a good bit of his inconsistency is to blame on the play calling(that recently got remidied) and the lack of a great wideout. Boldin is a very good, but to me he lacks speed and that costs him some games. He is streaky, sometimes he cannot get open, (and when this is the case rarely do the other wideouts help) I don't know enough to say maybe his routes aren't precise enough. but look at last week first half no catches, second half awesome......... look at a few games before the regular seaon, he would get 100 yds td then 0 catches the next week. Same with smith and doss, not the best hands experience or route running. and there has been a myriad of 3 and 4 recievers in and out throughout flaccos career. Nothing like a Welker, Jennings, Nelson, Gronk, Moss etc. Yeah RG might not be the same threat, his mobility may suffer. If I recall it took Brady a while to get comfortable to people being around his feet etc. The good thing though is he looks like he can throw and be a great qb without relying on the wheels.
  7. I wasn't going to recommend something off what I like but rather used, but I like this one too. But I have never owned or used a Daiwa reel before. If it was me today it would be between this and the pflueger purist, but that is personally I want to be $100 or under, thus I wouldn't consider a Revo myself however I would love to own the inshore model.
  8. LOL yeah if you are familiar with Joe, he was asked one time if he thought he was an "elite quarterback" and well Joe wasn't so shy, he said something like "yes, I would consider myslef in the top 5" or something like that. I would never class him with those guys, yet - he is having a Brady like start to his career number wise, but I will say this he is a hell of a lot better than Kyle Boller.
  9. Pflueger are the best for the price points, I love my two Pfluegers. Being the President is best for the money. The purist and supreme being well thought of also. But given your success with Abu, I have two older cardinal 653 that get ocasional use, I would try the Revo spinning reels.
  10. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/baseball-hall-of-fame-announcement-no-player-elected-to-class-of-2013-010913 Nice, at least those roid bozos are getting what they deserve and I agree Morris, Biaggio, bagwell, schilling(whom I loved watching pitch) are HOF worthy. They were good, semi great but not GREAT or LEGENDARY We know madux and glavine are worthy, have to wait til next year.
  11. I think your on to something. I am going to use this in tracking my fishing trends Back to football.....I see RG3 is going to have surgery. I was looking up since it was mentioned about the doc who did petersons surgery, it was Doctor Andrews. And while we are discussing ELITE qb's like Brady and Rodgers, don't forget Average Joe Flacco! lol IMO Brady and Rodgers are right now equal, they can both single handedly lead their team to victory any given day. Stat wise, so far Rodgers might have a slight edge but as stated I would only compare if they had similar tenure, the question can really only be answered when they are retired.
  12. Anybody watching this? The look on dude when the old man stabbed and ate his sandwhich! Lmao
  13. TW is having a sale on a couple versions of the silent fat RC if anyone is interested.....$7.99
  14. Got a Bandit 100 in the blue and chart good little bait that would be my sons favorite he uses it all the time....... how bout footloose or squarebill any body? The Norman fat boy looks like something I might try in that jelly bean color, really like the looks of that color.
  15. But the scary thing about this injury it is to the same knee he blew out in 2009. He might have blow in out again.....I know players have blow both knees out at points in their career but has one blown the same knee out twice and been any good? Kinda like tommy john surgery for a pitcher, one shot and if you blow it again your pretty much done, is that the senerio?
  16. 2yrs 24 million with a mutual option for 2015 for LaRoche and the Nats.....6 teams looking for Morse...Hoping the O's are 1 of them, we have plenty of pitching prospects, something like 4 or 5 vying for the 5 spot.
  17. Well Nats signed their man LaRoche to 2 yrs, didn't hear the dollar value. Apparently Morse is expendable at 7 mil roughly next year. Shopping him for pitching prospects is the rumor. Sure would be nice if they kept him especially given the injury history of late from worth, Zimmerman and LaRoche.
  18. No I didn't see who would replace him(clemons) I guess it is a tough spot, on one hand you have a rookie that is looked to lead, he wants to lead his team. But on the other hand you as a coach have to decide tell the kid sit down or fluff his confidence for the future and let him do what he thinks. Hopefully RG3 isn't hurt and can use this as a lesson of when to push an issue and when not. Something that will come with maturity, letting the backup take the wheel in the future even though it is tough. Cousins sure did look good in the couple games he played. I think your right, it would have been better if Cousins would have played the 2nd half from the get go.
  19. Dude, so how about the news on RG3 that is pretty bad if it is indeed the second tear to the ACL ? Do you all agree or disagree with playing him down the stretch and in the game? My opinion is RG3 is paid to lead his team and win a championship. This might have been their year and to save him for another season is missing the point of making the playoffs and winning now. RG3 wanted to play and it is what it is, a casualty of the sport. Hope he isn't hurt too bad though, love how he plays on the field. Another key injury, Clemons done for a year with an ACL tear. Does this affect the outcome Sunday? My take is no, Seattle still wins. Their corners and safeties are the key. They will shut Jones and white down. Ryan may have to dust some rust off and Sherman may make him pay.
  20. My favorite is the Bomber Square A, cheap and effective. Or for a bigger bait with an awesome wobble the Bomber Balsa B.
  21. MCS replied to Root beer's topic in Everything Else
Who cares about Saban let's talk about AJ McCarron's girlfriend. WOW What a lady! I am going to teach both my kids how to throw a football!......I am sorry what were we talking about?
  22. lol not what the announcers thought, or the nfl, henever got fined. The guy could of run the ball carrier down. Clean play good block...... Broncos are going down like a ton of bricks this weekend!.....I hope, usually when I talk trash like this it backfires. lol
  23. Well d**n. SEC
  24. For those of you with a short term memory and only remember this years Ravens vs Broncos game here is a reminder of what is to come......Hence why Ray came in at Fullback for the last play...helluva block http://youtu.be/kLZN0CabW6s
