  1. Nice. Some welcomed competetion. Yeah last month was rough on time for me, but I did land a nice fish. 3 trips and you might spoil AK's party
  2. X2 T-rig is my favorite most of the time.
  3. It is ok Lou is say the wrong thing all the time. You're good man I know you meant no ill will with it just a new expression for me, but I will be careful how I use it, stick with the kids goldfish or gerbils and leave the loved ones out. Lol
  4. How nice to grace us with your presence. The rumors of your demise were false. Lol how's it been?
  5. Ok, thanks. I have to keep my eyes and ears open. May have the opportunity to fish from a boat in the tidal part of the river mid to late month.
  6. I was talking to a beach angler today at the office, he said he saw 3-4 foot long cobia jumping out of the water chasing mullet. a 5 foot shark in 12" of water nearly beaching itself. The frenzy lasted for about 45 minutes he said. Also stated he never seen cobia go airborne even when he has hooked into them. He wasn't fishing that day, just enjoying the beach. I was a couple days ago. Is this the mullet run? When can it be expected?
  7. Circling the drain LMAO! nice
  8. Grande Bass Rattlsnake in Junebug Red flake and Trophy Hunter...rig it weightless or a light 1/16 or 1/8 bullet and slowly swim, drag or sweep the rod tip. Has gotten me some of my biggest bass in the early to mid morning. Zoom centipedes in the junebug red flake weightless or wacky are great too. Trick worms or mag trick worms from zoom, KVD perfect plastic finesse worm from strike king is a good one too, it gets a little more wiggle than the trick worm with the notch in the tail in Ox blood or mutilator(discontinued but if you can find it)

You guys ever see the episode of Duck Dynasty when Willie, Jace and Phil are frogging at night and Willie jumps out the boat(probably into alligator infested water) because a rat snake falls in the boat from a tree. LMAO...."Dang life in the subdivision turned him into a yuppie"
  10. Hit up a couple new spots, one didn't work out - a strategic placed "private property" sign on a open access golf course/community. So we split as soon as we saw it, and we had to work to find it LOL.....But then next spot was ok, a little fish. Pond across the street had some decent fish, I have one about 14 and I pulled an AK and as I am taking the pic it flops back in. Buddy got a couple that were 15 or 16...It was a young pond, a back up, so we figured the fish were small but hey we stuck a few. My only complaint about the braid so far is when T-rigging man it slices the tip of the worm were as my wimpy mono I can use the same worm all day...Tomorrow I am going to a proven spot. Hope I have something bigger than 15"....Sounds like an outstanding day AK, man too bad no phone. The other thing I hate is when I am alone and you gotta to the long arm shot for the pic. LOL You were getting most on topwater frogs?
  11. Nah man wasn't saying you were wrong or anything. I was just saying it really isn't as bad as you portrayed it, reclaimed just means non potable whether from storm or a WWTP. The treatment the water goes through before it is sold back to that golf course or where ever, they sprinkle with it around here and it is unavoidable when the spriklers are going, is a 100% treated. It is refered to as "plant" water a lot. Good for process but can't hook up to they eye wash/shower stations because it doesn't meet drinking water standards(which check out bottle water it is worse than reclaimed LOL as there are no standards).
  12. That right there ^^ takes the fun out of the quest for that "fish of a lifetime", if chances are altered by someone else to be in my favor then NO. Plus paying to fish is another NO
  13. I saw on another thread a daiwa presso (thanks Gone_Phishin I will borrow your link ) http://www.japantackle.com/Daiwa/Daiwa_Presso_Bait.htm It is pretty small.
  14. Just think martin if you woulda photographed 5 of the 12inchers you actually caught you would be in the lead right now.....And let me tell you the lead is a sweet place! I am waiting for someone to top my whopping 31 inches. LOL I almost made it out today, but yesterday took it out of me I rolled over and slept. Definitely going out tomorrow morning to add to my lead.
  15. Yeah man I typically use 8, and 10 pound mono but got some 30# braid which is the same diameter as 8 mono. Same thing happened on a cast with a lure, lucky it went in the grass and I found it. Braid deffinately has the way of finding the small opening on hooks and rings and getting through. My buddy who does fly tying will close the gap in the hook up with the string or something. Anyway welcome to the tourney good luck.
  16. Isn't this the second or third time this has happened ...get some braid man!!!!
  17. No not exactly. Reclaimed can be storm water runoff as well, which would include fertalizer and stuff like that. It is a golf course where woudl a WWTP be outfalling to? Lol Basically what recliamed is and why you cannot drink it is because it doesn't have a high enough does of clorene to KEEP contaminents out and/or is has residual chemicals from the treatment process. Oh and WWTPs outfall to some very public places, one right at the mouth of tampa bay, up on the potomac, blue plains biggest WTTP in the US dumps out right there.....Here is a good one though, the proposed reclaimed drinking water slogane for Tampa was "from your ass to a glass" dubbed by the opposition LOL
  18. Cool man, Me and my buddy I fish with here in Jax are both from MD. He is from the Frederick area, I lived in Baltimore and Solomons Island. It is still gonna be hot here til maybe Oct/Nov. So you guys will probably be able to put a hurting on us the next couple months.
  19. Awh c'mon Lou it is a bragging rights thread, I am on topic lol...Well looks like you have a nice line-up of jaguars going.
  20. Ak and Disdle that side of town has forgot what a championship is lol....AFC north is run by the RAVENS!!!....but the buccos have had quiet the resurgence, not since bream, vanslyke and drabek...that kid Cole is the real deal.
  21. 4:30-8:20 2 fish one 17" and one 14" my buddy had a 17" and a dink. Same lures as last week. Best action was around 5 once the sun came up the blue bird skies set in and no wind. Last hour and a half was dead. I will post pics tomorrow I am at 31" to start, gonna keep track no matter what this month and finish with 5.
  22. Wow Martin, that is cool man but a bit much for me. I am fine playing for nothing or something simple like a pack of bait. I appreciate the gesture but I could never match something like that therefore makes me unable to accept a big prize like that.
  23. I am in Lou, give it a go tomorrow.
  24. Great fish! Thanks for sharing
