If you looking for a decent worker, myerco has a couple nice folders done by lambert and lightfoot a couple blade styles and versions in std and assist open. For 30-60 bucks and the reviews are very good on blade forums. I am partial to the catchdog model. I also like kabar's folders, the phat bob is a nice one. Bacon maker is good too. Don't be afraid of the Taiwanese steel, bucks cheaper knives are done there or china. Gerber and kershaw both make some nice stuff. Randle adventure and technology worked with ontario on some of their knives as well as kabar My edc is an esee(formerly RAT) izula II with a sharp shooter sheath. If you get a chance google the esee folder that thing is sweet but yet to be released. A good site with good prices is smokey mountain knife works. There are others like bladehq too.

Nice vid. Not only was it cool to see the action under water but I liked seeing the colors and what they looked like in the depths. You had to beat the fish off with a stick hahaha.

Check out the Falcon HD and Originals...They tend to make a softer action. They run 70 and 90 bucks.

Well not to be rude, but neither you or your buddy really know anything about apbts. And from the sounds of it, they are far from that life, they have no clue, they wanted to be that life maybe because of they think that is cool. Lucky they didn't have any well bred animals but folks like that only drag the breed through the mud. apbts are one of the most human friendly, tolerant breeds you can have....if they are bred right. Now most that garbage out there one calls a "pitbull" are just mutts that are really american bullies which are apbts mixed with EBs, ABs, Mastiffs for color and head size etc and red nose and blue nose are just colors not lines LOL....not my cup of tea if you know what I mean. I prefer a lean mean hard charging machine LOL

That sucks, Cabelas had the 7.0:1 but like I said they look like they are out. I bought a reel off ebay before, their rules are very buyer friendly if you do have a problem. Like the reel has clearly been used.

Aint no excuse especially a bulldog, or any non protection breed for that matter, should go for a human being, that is a cull right there. But how "pitbulls" are bred today not surprising.....Sounds like your buddy needs to invest in a breakstick.

Lucky mine has "Lab mix" on the paper work from Animal Control. But she is hot enough that I try to walk her real early and real late, out of the neighbors eyes and her view of other animals. But they are great dogs with the family and to hunt with....It is a hassle sometimes with all the misinformation and hate. My next one will be a catahoula or florida cur or american bulldog. I wanna old southern white really bad. But I hope that is years down the road, my girl, Daisy Dukes is her name, is only 3 or 4 yrs old.

As far as cheaper, I hear good things about the quantum code, also the kinetic, buddy has one. I also like the catalyst very much and was on my list before I snagged the energy. I have also seen some deals on Pflueger casting reels, since they have some new models coming out. The new supreme starts at 99.

Yep, I would have done the same thing. I believe people that own a protection breed should keep the animal away from a potentially dangerous situation. My Am bulldog pup that I gave to a buddy has grown into a fine home protector and family friend to his family. My buddy crates the dog when strangers come over because he knows, the dog is weary of unfamiliar people and barks/growls if they get too close to him or the kids...... Mayday....Nice! your buddy a fan of southern kennels LOL

Yes, I pretty much do everything on two rods and about to add a third. If I had to pick though I would chose my 6'-6" MH/F and spinning reel. Because the versitility of throwing anything from weightless plastics, texas rigs to topwater, jerk baits, shallow cranks and lipless.

I had a rippin rap and never got nothing but the lipless my buddy built (that thing was awesome) and the xcaliburs both produced. I am curious though about the clacking lipless rapala makes or any of their clacking stuff for that matter as I throw mostly the original and countdowns. I might try one of those soon.

I don't punch when I throw a Texas I am bottom dragging. It feels like it "digs" or gets hung more. And with regards to presentation I feel the bait glides and sets more parallel to the bottom with an ewg versus a straight shank being at an odd angle when rigged. Does it make sense? Or is it just in my head lol like I said I didn't stick with it very lol the few times I used straight shank.

Well I said my piece Jeff. But for the record I did shed a few tears when I put my girl down. I am not saying have no emotion towards them but I draw the line sooner than others and IMO some people go a little farther than maybe they should for an animal. Exactly my point....like Teal and Vol said I probably could have worded it better. But by no means does it reflect my intelligence or ability to care for my animals. Now if I said that your reply is typical more of what I would expect of an LEO. Mr Teal chose to discuss and understand versus attack ones character on a difference of opinion.
