When Do You Consider A Day Of Fishing A "good" Day Of Fishing?
A good day for me is anytime I leave fishing feeling better than I did when I got there. Might not even catch fish, but I feel good just about being out there and doing it.....Now a bad day is one that eats at me, I know I messed this up or shoulda done that.

How Much Do You Spend On Average A Year On Fishing ?
I would say $100 to $200 in lures/plastics and terminal tackle. Then another $100-$200 on rod/reels this year.

New Pflueger Reels
Sweet reel. Enjoy The new reels look great. I like the pflueger BC reels, I own 3 spinning, but I got a better deal on another brand but I think when the time comes I will add a supreme XT or patriarch next.

Rod And Reel Matchup Questions.....
I have heard the Quantum Energy PTi20 were sweet little reels, I also hear the smoke is great too, I am eyeing the inshore version. But for rod #2 two maybe think about a Pflueger Patriarch or Supreme XT, but if those aren't you taste then smoke all the way.

Help Me Choose My Next Rod.
Personally I would go with a Falcon Bucoo for 99 but if you want micro guides then it is in the 129 range. Or the Carbon Lite Micro guide rod is 119 at BPS. Allstar Rods make a Micro guide for $99, they have a good reputation and a nice budget rod.

The Pennants Are Flying, As Is The Trash, And Apparently There Is A Team In Houston
Phillies are coming to a position which is similar to the O's and Roberts. The O's however didn't any indication of the breakdown coming ahead of a big contract. I HOPE the Phillies are SMART enough to stay away from that unless it is at a discount. Instead of throwing millions into the wheel chair of a constant DL regular.

The Pennants Are Flying, As Is The Trash, And Apparently There Is A Team In Houston
Yeah your right, 83 baby! O's vs. Phils...ED_DIE ED_DIE chants....see the Phils IMO had 93 a WS apperance, then the world series in 2008 and an apperance again in 09 coupled with a solid run atop the NL east really until last year but they came back at the end. So baseball wise, the O's suck worse because 89 was a disastor and 96/97 they didn't make it to a WS....Now football yeah you guys might as well put the paper bags on this year too LOL I know Baltimore since the ravens have has a good run with very few rebuilding years. That I won't touch.

Walk The Dog Style Baits
I use walk the dogs when you see baitfish or bass busting the surface or any time you feel like other than that. BassResource has a good video about a spook. For me I love the pop-r but really only get it to work during and right after spawn once it gets hot the fish are down in the cover.

Florida Bragging Rights, Take 3, July 1St - 31St
They are my favorite. I t-rig them weighless or with a 1/16 bullet weight and a 3/0 or 4/0 hook. Either use a sweep retrieve with pause after the movement or a slow roll back to me, sometimes drag it too. I use Junebug red flake which the last time I was at Academy they didn't carry it. But I am sure any color would do well.

The Pennants Are Flying, As Is The Trash, And Apparently There Is A Team In Houston
I don't want them to get rid of Rollins the most of the 3, but he is getting old, get some talent in the minors and plan though. But if there truly is a catcher in the minors, then they should focus on 3 base. They need a manny machado or evan longoria/zimmerman......I am good with howard and utley for another 2-5 yrs but scared of the durability. Put ruf in left and mayberry on the bench....solid team

I like lee a lot too but reality is I dunno if they will be competitive again while he is under contract and get the most value while he is having an excellent value. Papelbon and Adams can hit the road too. Dead weight IMO. U are exactly right, they need a 2nd baseman, 3rd baseman and while I love jimmy he is getting old. Revere, brown and Mayberry isn't a bad OF, Ruf if he turns out at 1b and they need a decent catcher. Their starting staff isn't bad even without lee they have a solid 3 starters and a few young wildcards. I say trade now. Trade trade trade. It eventually paid off for the O's they got Jones out of the sherril(I know who? Right) deal. Davis as a trade for uehara I think. So trade now so they get better sooner.

"success With Soft Plastics"
With t-rigged plastics both weighted and weightless I use hopping, sweeping or dragging or slow rolling, mix in pauses. Things started to click when I went as slow as possible then work your way to a faster speed. But the tortise didn't lie, slow and steady will usually win the race.

Carp In Pond. Problem?
I am assuming it is a grass carp, most states it is illegal to harvest and or be in possesion of them(transport) them. They are sterile and cannot reproduce(hence why that are protected). They were most likely put there by whom ever as vegitation control. Now even tho it is an HOA pond may be maintained by the state under a standard maintence agreement. If it is truly HOA maintained then they need a permit to stock it so talk to your fish and wildlife management officer and see if they can tell you who, what and why. Now depending on how smart the people are who dropped them in, they can be fine, keep it from becoming overgrown and clean or if they stocked too many they will clean it out. I have seen ponds with none, some and too many, the ponds with some usually fish the best, and the ones with no carp tend to get too weedy to fish. Even if the veg gets cleaned out it won't affect the fish(bass and bluegills), you will just have to adjust your approach. The pond that I fish that is cleaned out the fish tend to wonder, only hold to the few structures like culverts and fountains. moving plastics and cranks work.
