Didn't know siebert made spinnerbaits, that bluegill skirt on their site looks AWESOME! I just picked up my first baitcast reel and intend to throw spinnerbaits once I get a rod paired with it. Will deffinately be picking up a few of these.

I understand your thought but it is like speedbead said on another thread selective harvest is the way to go....catch and eat those from 12-18" and put back anything over 18" just like the slots they have for say redfish. If there is no harvest then there will be to many fish in a pond or lake without preditors like musky and pike. You see that a lot in the young ponds around here, they get stocked with minnow, carp, bluegill and bass, and then the bass stay 1-2 pounds for life. I haven't eaten bass since I was 8 years old, here I fish retention ponds so it aint happening anytime soon. But I typically fry my fillets of grouper, flounder or tilapia in butter with a cajun rub from the local fish market until they get a nice brown crust. My brother in law wraps his rockfish up in foil with butter or italian dressing and bakes.

Well the technicallity that most people fail to realize is that most ponds are like that are state property/mainatianed. Now the pond at the above is linked via creeks, and talking with my boss who is a native and done numerous drainage studies in the area, the water runs south to Julington creek. If it is a blue line stream it actually falls under the army corp jurisdictiona and protection and a good percentage of the time is actually a state or federal waterway that is not owned by the state/feds which likely applies to that pond. That is why they have no right to post the signs nor have they posted signs yet. The security just try to scare you away. Now the highway ponds are state owned(FDOT), most have tresspassing signs and such, because they don't want hazards for drivers/liability.

It would help if you put up a location and shared a little more info. Instead of just trolling for peoples spots, join the discussions and make a few friends, the longer you stick around the more info you will get from the people you get to know in your area.

Nice fish! I haven't been fishing for flounder since I moved here, but I want to go. Have you seen flats class? There is an episode from flagler, just south of jacksonville, they hit the flounder hard with z-man paddlers and a jig head. they pull in a 7 pounder. You might enjoy watching that episode.

How stacked are you at SP position? Is there any 3B left on waviers, the guy on chicago cubs or Houstons Matt Dominguez are serviceable if you have a good Ofensvie base to begin with? Gee is hard to gage, his k/bb rate isn't bad, he is allowing a .287 ba which is not good. He has had only 2 bad starts of late. But I think he is on the up swing.....Now I had materson early on in my roto league, I dropped him for arroyo right after he had his first string of three or four bad starts. I would be worried about him wearing down Look at mastersons splits in 2011 and 2012 he has his worst stats in July, Aug and Sept. And so far he has held true this July. If you want to play the odds I would say do it, and Gee might have a better second half than Materson will or at least similar stat wise.

Is that right before the FBI building there are two lakes a big one and a smaller one at the end of a cul de sac.A guy here at worked fished it with a canoe and said he caught the biggest bass of his life outta there. After I told my buddy about the guy at work, he went to try it and has been a couple times and nothing, there is a big gator in there he said though. Said saw a lot of 2-4 pound fish catching air too. I usually only fish early early and not for long but if I do get a chance I will let you know. Man I had a new xcalibur lipless in long ear this morning got a decent fish that got off at my feet and slithered through my hands, guess it to be about 15 to 16 inches. three casts later got hung up and lost the new bait. Also lost a lot of line later on, not a great morning but hey that one felt good to have it on.

Took my oldest out so we had a fun day with t-rigged n wacky centipedes. Pretty fun especially since we watched most of them slurp it up but nothing to show. Hope the bite is still on Monday

Use sufix elite for my top water, seige is a great line as well. I use it on another setup.
