Wardens DO NOT have any more power than any other law enforcement person......All law enforcement actions are subject to the same search and seizure guidelines(via the US constitution and reviewed many times by the US supreme court)no matter their title or jurisdiction.....Wardens have a tendency to push things beyond the rules and bluff big time when it comes to search and seizure.....NEVER give your permission for them to search as you will have just given away your right to deny it....Don't buy the "you don't mind if I look in your vehicle do you?" routine, or " do the right thing and it will go better for you", or " I'll just get a search warrant anyway if you refuse", baloney...Let them get a search warrant IF THEY LEGALLY CAN!...AS I SAID, there are no special laws for wardons, they just want you to thinks so......Most people give away their rights when confronted thinking if they don't they will be in trouble...NOT!!!!!.....If you are in trouble, then your are in trouble, do not help the warden by giving him the evidence he needs to convict you......You will never be in legal difficulty by refusing to speak to the law or denying searches.....If they are so right, they will search you anyway...DONT HELP THEM!....They are asking or demanding because they need your cooperation.....Just politely deny and only give your identity information and license.....I'm a retired Police detective and have seen and heard about this type of thing 100's of times....The general public panics if much pressure is put on them by any law enforcement person.....Just say no ,and watch them squirm and get frustrated.

It is a total hustle and con job from the North American Fisherman...I too have been a 20 year life member and all I've ever got from them is a barrage of letters trying to sell me all sorts of overpriced things.....Don't waste your money!

Al Lindner for sure.....I'd love to fish smallies with him, on the lake and river. I know I'd learn some things and enjoy his company.

The way you retrieve a frog can vary a lot depending on many things, such as weed cover,weather ,water depth,water clarity , water temp. , BUT, mostly what the bass want....SOOO, if your not getting bit, alter your retrieve til the bass tell you what they want.....Good luck.

This ," my secret technique" attitude ,is so much rubbish......I can see maybe on a local lake when you have something going ,and don't want to let it out at the time , but after then ,whats the point?....Most people I know that always have a, not to be divulged lake, technique , lure , etc tend to function the same way in their regular lives sadly.....Try helping others instead , and you will be rewarded many times over ..........A technique that I like to use is know by others I'm sure, but here goes.....I rig a drop shot up with a sinker just heavy enough to get my lure to the bottom and about 12-18 inches below the lure . Fish it horizontally casting rather than vertically straight up and down....This puts your lure very near the bottom but not in the muck or bottom debris that can hide the lure or get it fouled up. Fish can easily find the lure and I feel that I catch more fish this way than a direct line to hook rigging......Give it a try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the catch result.....Good luck.

To me Charlie Moore and Zona should take a long vacation together so they could throw down on each other, fighting over who is the biggest showboater and bonehead!!!!!......The best TV fishing show is ,hands down, the Lindners.....They fish for both largemouth and smallmouth in both lakes and rivers, explain techniques well , great photography, just good entertaining ,educational watching.....Plus , just good downhome, approachable guys.

2 pages of back and forth, bass thumb , tired or not so tired bass, bigger teeth in a nice pond????, to whine or not to whine , that is the question?, and I'm all worn out just trying to absorb all this......Can you hear me snoring?

The most commotion you can make and still keep the frog from moving ahead too much , the better your chances of a hit.....Then let the frog sit still for awhile and hold on....I pick the heaviest lily pads I can find or reeds....Don't set the hook til you feel the fish.

Don't be afraid to cast a topwater lure over deep water as smallmouth often suspend out there and will come up to hit a surface lure.
