I have been using PP for years and I am like you with 832. Never noticed. If that is the case, my reels are dry by the time I get home and I have had 0 issues on my reels.

Many hits do come on the pause. When I am fluke fishing I keep a careful eye on my line. On the pause I particularly look for a sudden tap on the line or change in the direction. I reel in fast and set the hook. Sometimes the fish is coming towards and feels like you lost your lure. That's when you really know you have something. LOL.

True, but the fish aren't there. Water levels in the glades are high to help offset the water up in the lake.

I was just like you years ago. Spinner was my outfit of choice. I was introduced to b/c and I slowly started to get the hang of it. I am no Bassmaster elite angler with them but I can hold my own. Right now I use b/c 85% vs 15% spinner. You have to give the b/c time if you really want to learn how to use it. If you truly don't, stick with the spinner.

Mainebass, are these fish from VT or are you still up in Maine? Either way, impressive catch for only getting out for a little while.

Mike I can only imagine how you are feeling. LOX is your playground. You post nice vid and pics from there all the time.

I am wrapping up for the night, weather permitting I will fish tomorrow late afternoon. Maybe I will post something, and break the ice on my end.

Just read in another forum that LOX is closed due to the government shutdown. Unbelievable!!

Sadly, this happens every once in while. I read story some time ago about an angler who caught his top 5 fish a day before his tournament started. The angler proceeded to leave the 5 fish well anchored on a stringer. His planned was foiled when another angler, happen to get snagged on this guys stringer, and he found the 5 fish. This angler told tournament officials, and they did a sting operation. The fish were placed back where they were found, and law enforcement waited the guy out for him to return. When he did, he got busted, and banned from all tournaments.

Ak, it does look pretty compelling, and it does look a little suspicious. Let's see how this plays out, and learn from their unfortunate experience. In the mean time, let the NE group sort through that issue, and let us focus on fishing.

AK, I get what your saying, but sometimes mistakes could be made, before someone has a chance to explain themselves.

Fishingator, what did you catch the fish on?

That's why I like cell phone pics. At least with my phone, it leaves a date and time stamp of when the pic was taken, and its displayed on my album in the gallery. Also, give Nev a chance to explain himself before conclusions are made. Maybe someone uploads his pic for him and that person posted those two previous pics. Just saying....
