Curado I
The Savvy arrived yesterday. Fished with it for a little bit and its exactly what I wanted for finesse and light applications rod. Paired with the TTpro its a very nice setup. I can only begin to imagine how it must feel with a DX. That's out of my range. My 2nd curado is being delivered today. Enjoy your new toys, you are going to really like them.

My PB was before cell phones had camera's and the photograph is somewhere, but here is one I caught last year that was couple ounces short of my PB. A wahoo I caught a few months ago.- Finally Gonna Try Leaders, Tips?
When I use leaders I use Yozuri. I use my wingspan for the length of the leader. Which is about 6ft. I tie the alberto knot and I am good to go for while.- South Florida Mid Day Bite?
Yeah its going to much worse. The only time I fish midday during the summer is when I go to the glades. It gets too hot, i run the boat a bit to cool off. If you are limited to canals and you have to fish midday i would focus on cover and culverts. The good news about summer for canal fishing are the afternoon storms. As the water builds up, they have to discharge water and that creates current in the canals. Take advantage of the moving water and you might find some good fishing. Last year my biggest catches occurred during the summer.- 7Ft Mh Rod For Frogging?
I use a MH Avid, for frogging on the bank. The height and power will be ok for light to medium cover.- My Braid Is Noisy

Lews are great reels. I own 2 models. Enjoy yours!!- What Do You Use The Majority Of The Time When You're Frogging: Hollow Body Or Solid Body Frog? What Are Some Of Your Favorites?
I could be wrong, but the way I identify a reaction bite from a feeding bite is in the following way: A feeding bite, I find happens when you can actually see the fish or the fishe approaches from a considerable distance and attacks your bait. For ex. when I see a wake off in the distance and the fish suddenly changes directions and slams my bait. A reaction strike, occurs when you are working your frog either soft or hollow around cover and bass strikes with in a confined space or area. I think in that situation the bass are holding in a small area and anything that suddenly passes within that space is going to get hit. Again... that's just my opinion, I could be way off on this one.- Power Pro Snapping On Backlash
Yeah.... sounds like you cast pretty hard to accomplish that. That has never happened to me. It will continue to happen unless you take off a little muscle from your casts.- Epiphany
On my last remaining spinners. I have a premiere on one and a Carbonlite on the other. I have my stradic CI4 on the CL. The sensitivity, weight, and strength will surprise you on that rod.- Monster
Sweet fish!! Congrats- Sunup Or Sundown
Since my time is limited when I can get out on the boat, I will fish from morning til about 630pm or 7pm. I makes for a loooong day, but I am in my world. When I bank fish, I fish in the late afternoon to about dusk. I don't night fish much at all.- Double Uni Vs Albright Knot
I started with the double uni when I started with leaders. It served me well. Then I came across the alberto knot, and I have not looked back since. Nice strong small knot.- Where Did The Fish Go In Fl?
Caught a nice 20" bass this evening using a u-vibe worm buzzed on top of the water parallel to shore.- The Unwritten "rules"
This drives me nuts too. Especially when they have kids along. Everyone has the right to fish. If there are no boats around, fish the ramp. But when a boat is approaching, you have to reel up and wait for the boat to leave. either they don't know any better or they don't give a- Need To Get Back To Basics...help Please
Weigh them down a little. Insert a nail weight. I use a small weight like a 1/16 sometimes for added weight. Still have great results- Copolymer Leader?
When i use leaders, all I use is Yozuri. It's good line, cheap, gets the job done well.- St Croix Premier.
Premiers are good rods. I used them a while back. I have moved up the St. croix line since then, but if it wasn't for the premiere the other rods I have, ie avid and ltb's would have not peeked my curiosity.- All The Different Lews Reels
There are several Lews models. They are great reels. I settled on 2 for the time being and I am enjoying both the TTpro and Tournament MG. Each have serving roles in my reel line up.- What Do You Use The Majority Of The Time When You're Frogging: Hollow Body Or Solid Body Frog? What Are Some Of Your Favorites?
Ah.... you can tell summer time is approaching and all the topics are on frogs. Fortunately for me I LOVE frogs so I will join in this thread. I throw hollowbody frogs the majority of the time. Mostly Koppers or Booyah's depending on my location. If I notice that the fish prefer the frog moving a little faster, I will switch to a soft body frog. I will throw Hornytoads or any other buzzing type frog i may have at hand. - Braided Fishing Line
