I was about to go fishing and then my girlfriends water broke!!! I am at the hospital waiting for my son to be born!! I can not explain the excitement

Hopefully this rain helps the fishing this time but I have a feeling it's gonna make it worse

Anyone fish manasquan reservour. I use to go there all the time cuz I lived 5 mins from it and caught some nice size largemouth, pickerel, and hybrid stripe bass. I had a lot of fun there and you could rent boats for $15

I fished a couple spots in the Argyle area. I caught 4 of them out there between 2# and 4#. I saw 2 kids in a boat and one landed a 7# in the pond I was fishing. I am going over by Gander Mountain on Wednesday so I will bring my stuff with me and check the pond out. I need to find a spot where they got some monsters in em.

Yea man I know the ponds that you are talking about. I am going to check out the pond by BCO one day this week. By any chance do you know if there are any no fishing signs there? Because the cop told me if there are no signs then anywhere is fair game as long as you have a fishing license. I guess that's why try charge you $50 plus to have one (since I haven't been a resident of FL for 6 months I had to pay that it is probably cheaper if you are a resident of FL) I am looking for a spot with some nice big fish at least 7# and up.

Yea hopefully the hold a couple monsters in there that I can get on my line. Yea tomorrow is suppose to be the big day but I have a feeling he is going to be late. So I am guessing probably around Friday. I am really excited about my first born, but that means I will have to cut down on fishing for the next couple of months which I am not excited about lol. With all of the getting up early and feeding him and changing him I will be doing a lot of morning fishing now thats for sure

I would throw a spinner bait into and around the cover or try a senko like you said you were doing, If the fish want to bite they will bite if not there is really nothing you can do.

I keep them in their original bags and put them in the bottom of my tackle box. My collection of lures and baits is getting too big for my tackle box, soon I am going to have to get a bigger tackle box probably by the end of the summer

IMO we have not seen nothing yet! Lebron just learned that he is a dominate post player and he used that more towards the end of the season... SO if they could manage to sign Ray Allen, he would be cheap and willing to play for the Heat to get another ring, and/or even Brandon Roy, he is coming back from surgery/retirement so he will be cheap as well, then its possible (obviously undefeated is a little far fetched but then again so is a player like LeBron who hasn't even begun to reach his full potential.) And if Wade goes to Germany and gets the Kobe Surgery, is what we are going to call it now before they make it illegal, then watch out! Lets be more realistic and say they get Ray Allen... I would start Chalmers, Wade, Allen, LeBron, and Bosh (even though that wouldn't happen) how could you stop that? They would have to double LeBron & Wade in the post and that leaves Ray Allen to add to his NBA all time 3pt made total they would be virtually UNSTOPPABLE. I think that people were afraid to sign with the Heat just for that, the heat they would take for it. BUT now that the NBA is shaping into a bucnh of min heat teams and they already won the title people are going to sign on and continue something great! Yeah Jordan and the Bulls were good and all but Jordan physically is NOTHING to LeBron... but that is a whole different thread and debate. IMO there really isn;'t nothing to debate though LeBron has FAR MORE skilled physically, not mentally, than Jordan. And once he figures out that he is basically a smaller more nimble Shaq and Dirk combined then the whole world will know what TRU basketball greatness it.

I have had more late day success using senkos and other soft plastics, and I have even had some success using spinner baits, but that depends on the pond that I am fishing in

that is a monster lol My girlfriend fishes with me every time I go. She was like your girl at first afraid to take the fish off and everything now she is a pro! She takes the fish out the water, lips em, takes the hook out, poses for a picture, and then puts them back in the water lol. Hell she even knows how to tie her own knots... TBH she is the one who ties my knots for me because she is better and faster than I am.

Yea there are ponds all over Jacksonville and FL in general. It seems like every single development in Jax has at least one pond in it all which hold fish. Every time I go somewhere I see ponds and people fishing. I have heard some good stories about VA fishing as well. My girlfriend has family in VA so when we decide to visit them I am bringing my fishing gear and am going to spend at least 2 to 3 days checking out the VA fish.
