My Jacksonville Backyard Pond (Big Ones)
Where are you from? I didn't really like Jacksonville when I use to come down and visit then when I moved here I love it. I was from NJ so FL is like heaven especially when it comes to fishing.

My Jacksonville Backyard Pond (Big Ones)
I never got a chance to go out this morning to the Citi Bank ponds. I had to go out and get more things to prepare for the baby plus it was raining out so I'll probably check out the ponds some time next week when it is nicer. I was over by the Town Center yesterday I ate at that restaurant BJ the food was good. I took Gate Parkway towards 95 and I believe I saw the ponds that you are talking about. I am definitely going to go check them out one day when the weather clears up.

Nba Finals
My boy LeBron FINALLY got himsself a ring. I called it to all my boys that once he went to the Heat that they would get to the finals EVERY year, I predicted they would lose to Dallas (Dirk and Kidd were just too hungry and that was there last chance) and I said they would meet OKC in the finals this year and win! Now people thought LeBron was a beast now???? NOW all the pressure is GONE and he is going to put up MONSTER numbers! If they can land some free agents lets say Ray Allen and BRANDON ROY (he is coming back) then the Heat WILL GO Undefeated.

My Jacksonville Backyard Pond (Big Ones)
Thanks man. Good to see another local from Jax on this site that can offer some new spots to fish. As far as the pond that you found and got kicked from as long as there's no "no trespassing signs" or "no fishing from people's backyard (says something to that effect)" then it is fair game. I got pulled over for the HID head lights I have on my car when I was coming back from fishing and the cop happened to fish as well so I was asking him some questions about the area and regulations.... and he didn't even give me a ticket or a written warning! But the fishing has slowed up TBH the past 2 weeks or so. I use to catch a lot more in my pond and now it has slowed down significantly. Now I usually catch a majority of my fish between 4:30 and 8:30pm. I think you are right about them going deeper because I use to see them along the banks and caught them fairly close to shore. Now I don't see any and rarely see them chase the bait to shallow waters. That is why I fish closer to when it starts to get dark out because the temps cool down and I figure they come to shallower water to eat. I am trying to find a new pond that has big fish in it but so far I haven't had much luck. I'll probably check out some ponds over by baymeadows this week.

My Jacksonville Backyard Pond (Big Ones)
I fished the pond on the corner of racetrack and veterans and caught 3 2# and I missed about 2 other fish. Then I fished this one pond in one of the developments heading towards publix but no luck. Now I am back home and I'm using google earth to find a pond close to me and check it out. You heading out this weekend? I am probably going to check out those ponds u told me about by the citi bank complex on old saint Augustine either later today or tomorrow

My Jacksonville Backyard Pond (Big Ones)
I was out fishing last night before the Heat game.... i caught this 4.5# on a black and blue jig. I casted out once and brought it back, then I casted in the exact same spot and then boom the fish took it I set the hook and it swam right to the top of the water and jumped out. It was a hell of a fight it jumped out of the water 4 times before i finally got it on shore. I caught this 2.4# today around 6:30pm using a 5 inch Senko worm. This one took the senko right as I was about to take it out of the water and recast. Not too much of a fight at all since it was right there. I caught this 3.6# about 20 minutes later on the same 5 inch Senko worm. This fish put up a hell of a fight as well jumped out about 2 times and it was pretty strong. This weekend I am going to hit up a few local lakes around my house and see what I catch. If I get and nice ones I will post some of them.... if all else fails then I will pack up and go in my backyard and try to get the monster I saw last weekend.

Snakeheading For The Past 2Days!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I've been to Blazin Reptiles before, they use to be in the Walmart plaza and then they moved to where they are now. But they don't sell any type of gators they just have the one for show. You are absolutely right though it is like a free trip to the zoo. They got some crazy stuff in there. I went in the venomous snake room and they have some MONSTER snakes in there. There is this cool ass albino rattlesnake that they have. That store definitely puts Pets Mart to shame lol.

Any Tips For Catching Big Bass 4Lbs+ On Senkos??
I have had luck using wacky rig and Texas rig senkos. The last 3 times I went out and used them I have caught 5 nice ones all over 3.5 lbs. if the fish are hungry they will bite and like people said you need to be fishing a pond that has big ones in it. My backyard pond has a nice 10 lb + in there lurking around I have seen it twice, once my girlfriend saw it, lurking close to the shore. I can't wait til I get him on my line

Night Fishing
I've been looking for a small boat to put into my backyard pond. Nothing big just a 2 person row boat with a small trolling motor. Idk where to go to find something like that and I am having my first child on Monday so I can not spend too much right now

My Jacksonville Backyard Pond (Big Ones)
No it wasn't a carp there are 2 carp in this pond that I have seen an they are silver colored. This was definitely a bass had the green tint with black on it. It was about 2 feet or so from the shore line basically taunting me saying I dare you try and catch me I bet you won't lol.

My Jacksonville Backyard Pond (Big Ones)
I didn't switch back reels with her lol. I keep catching them in the same area of the pond. Now my girlfriend is getting frustrated because she hasn't caught anything in the past couple days lol. She likes using live shiners more than soft plastics and lures so I am going to pick her up some tomorrow. There is a pond on the corner of veterans parkway and racetrack that I am going to check out tomorrow. I saw a father and son fishing there on fathers day. I wanna find some other nice spots that have some big fish in them because mine has really slowed up compared to the amount of fish I was pulling in before. But there is a monster and I mean monster in my lake. My girl saw it first on Saturday around 1pm. She was freaking out about how big it was and when I looked over I just saw a huge cloud of mud in the water from when it swam off. Then about a hour later or so I just went down to the water without my rod and saw the beast chilling exactly where my girl said she saw it. They always look a lot smaller, to me atleast, when they are in the water and this one had to be at least 10# if not more!

Fountains
I fished a couple ponds with fountains in them and never really had any luck by the fountain let alone the whole pond to be honest.

Needing Help With Lunkers In Lily Pads
When I was back in Jersey I lost a MONSTER in the lilly pads. It jumped out of the water twice and then made a v line right to the Lilly pads and snapped my line I also lost my favorite spinner bait, this was about 2 or 3 years ago. But someone said it before there is nothing like using a top water frog and getting a bass to strike it right out of the wate through the lillys
