  1. I want to go night fishing but I need someone to take me on a boat! I ain't trying to accidentally get bit by a moccasin or rattler while fishing from the shore... they come out at night. QUESTION: In Florida do bass stay in the deeper parts of the lake at night or do they come to shallower areas since its cooler at night?
  2. Is that in Jacksonville or is that in GA? I caught this 4.8# this morning the only one I caught today, I am going out now so if I catch a nice one I'll post
  3. I use my storm swimming minnow 5 inch I also use yamamoto senko worms I think they are watermelon color ( they r dark green with a light green underneath) But my storm swimming minnow is clutch when nothin else has been working it looks and swims like a bait fish and the bass go crazy
  4. Yea man I don't know where Yulle is I just moved here a few months ago. I am gonna start doing some salt water fishing in the next few weeks. I caught this 4.5# today around 7:45pm
  5. nice catch man she looks like she put up a good fight
  6. Lol you are absolutely right! I am being out numbered 2 to 1. 2 fishers usually beat 1.
  7. I think I might have to swap my reel back cuz it's crazy lol. Nice pics of the family man I can't wait to be able to do that. Looks like your kids were having a ball.
  8. Nice pic man I can not wait til my son is old enough to go fishing with me! I have 10 more days til my girl gives birth and then i got about a few years til he can go fishing with me lol. My girlfriend has been out fishing me the last 5 times we went out. I bought a new reel and gave her my old one and I caught 1 fish, smaller than the one your son caught. My girl on the other hand was landing 2 to 3 lb# left and right, I guess my old reel was the fish catcher not me which I use to think lol
  9. I think the first pic of the 4.10 fish looks bigger than the 2nd but like u said it could just be the difference in the camera shot. But it is def over 4.5
  10. When I go early morning I seem to get nice size fish from 3 to 4# around 7. Last week I caught 4 all in a row, 3.8, 3.10, 4.4, and 4.7 from 7am to 7.20am... that was the best 20min stretch in my life. I usually go everyday when I get home around 5:30pm and catch a good amount. My personal best came between the hours of 11am and 2. So those are usually the times I go out in my backyard and cast out if I am home. I just started using top water lures and frogs but haven't really had any luck so far.
  11. RIP TO HIM and condolences to his family and friends,, hopefully he didn't have any children because that would be extremely sad
  12. Good luck man what bait are you planning on using?
  13. Yea I got all the hooks out of it. I hate when I hook a fish and the hook is in a spot where I can't get it out. I always make an effort to get the hook out whenever I can. If I was hooked in the mouth and someone was releasing me I'd hope they would do the same for me
  14. I have never fished from a boat either.... Anyone in the Jacksonville area have a boat and looking for someone to fish with? I fish every day and I am down for whatever time wherever there are BIG fish
  15. Next time I need line I'm gonna see if Dick's has the yo zuri hybrid line.
  16. I have 8# test on my rod off the top of my head I don't know what my drag is set at though. I caught another nice one at 745 weighed 3.8#
  17. I was fishing in my backyard around 2pm with my girlfriend. She caught a 2.8# within 10 mins of us fishing, we were using live shiners. Then she cast back out and got a huge strike and the line snapped off the hook, we were using the palomar knot. Then she caught a 2.3# in a different spot. So I went to the spot where she got the big strike and cast out. Not even 30 seconds after it hit the water I get a huge strike I set the hook and the line snapped off AGAIN, still palomar knot. Then about 30 minutes later I see a fish chase a little bait fish, could have been a baby bass or bluegill, to the top of the water and attack it. So I cast my shiner out that way and was reeling it in slowly then BOOM. I was reeling it in the fish put up an amazing fight. It jumped out of the water fully 3 times I thought it was gonna get unhooked. My girlfriend gets the net and scooped it up. I open its mouth and this is what I see.... It was the same fish that took our hooks 2 times in a row, and I was running low on hooks too lol, 3rd times a charm. It weighed 4.2#, the way it snapped the lines and the way it fought we thought it was gonna be a lot bigger.... but this fish was strong as hell and put up one hell of a fight.
  18. I went fishing this morning at 6:20 and I caught the 4.10# AGAIN!!! It has a gash on its left side & I weighed it that is how I know it was the same EXACT fish... caught the same one within a 12 hour period. I also caught this 3.5# about 10 to 15 minutes after...
  19. My girlfriend was wearing sandals when we were fishing at a pond in a development and she stepped on a fire any pile and her foot got attacked lol that was a couple days ago Yea man I like snakes and gators I just haven't seen any outside of an artificial habitat or a fish tank lol I am gonna check out some of those spots
  20. I have been in Jacksonville since feb. and the only place I have seen a gator is alligator farm in Saint Augistine lol. You know any places around here that have em in them I am from NJ so I would like to see one in the wild when I am fishing. I also haven't seen a water moccasin yet either
  21. I caught this 4.10# in my back yard today. He put up a really good fight I thought it was gonna get away from me
  22. I caught these 2 bass today around 5:20pm. I caught the smaller one first, 2.5#, and then I caught the big one after, 4.10#. I caught 6 fish today in my pond and I was fishing for a little over a hour. There is something even bigger out in my pond because I hooked it twice and it took the hook right off. I just saw its body flash about 5 feet off shore and it was huge! 4.10# 4.10# 4.10# 2.5#
  23. My girlfriend pulled out a 2# and a 2.6# last night around 7pm. So far we haven't caught anything under 2# there so I am betting that there are some MONSTER FISH in there somewhere it's just a matter of time before I get em on my hook!
  24. Man that 9#er is HUGE!! Congrats man they are all nice fish. You and your partner killed it
