Fishing Log
I don't keep a log but last season I took a picture of every fish I caught regardless of size. This season I only take pictures of the bigger fish I catch. I am going to start what Lou did and post them in the gallery with a little info about each catch. But I don't have the patience nor time to write down in a log what time of day, weather and water temp, conditions, water clarity, etc. I'd imagine tournament and boat fishermen would keep logs but I doubt the average fishermen does to use its about the fun of the catch not researching.

My Pb For 2012 & 2013
Welcome fellow Jerseyite, now I am a Floridian, congrats on the new PB. I see you have a bass boat. If you ever want to take a trip a very good fishing spot is the Manasquan Resivour. They have boat docks and a bait shop there as well. If you ever take that trip they have some BIG fish in there, biggest fish that I have caught in NJ came out of there.

Bass Hierarchy
Yea that happened the second time the 7lber was a dink compared to the big one we were going for

New Pb 9Lbs. 1Oz
Awesome fish that's crazy you have been fishing that spot for 10 years and there was basically a 10lber swimming around amongst a bunch of dinks. I always bring my camera for this exact moment. Had a similar story with me and a member on here Bass Czar I hooked a fish WAAAAAAY into double digits. We had a similar Convo that you and your buddy had. Got a fish yeah probably a 4lber then saw it jump and we both bugged out add 10lbs to that lol. Got hung up in Lilly pads and my mono snapped, totally my fault I was wayyyy to excited an wasn't thinking clearly obviously when u see a fish that big that you have hooked how can you! It has been braid ever since! Again man great looking fish congrats on the PB! Too bad she didn't eat a 6oz fish before she too your bait then you would be in the double digit club, I'm still waiting on my membership lol

Bass Hierarchy
Do you think within a group of bass their is hierarchy? I've noticed two conflicting behaviors. 1.) I was fishing a KVD 1.0 crank and I reeled it in about 10 feet off shore and a bass followed it in. I left it sitting on the top of the water and the bass sat their and watched it. I jerked it a little and the fish went to go attack it then turned around swam off I'm like what went wrong. 2 seconds later a huge one comes in and grabs the crank. 2.) Another time me and my buddy see this huge bass most likely double digits or close to it. He throws out his worm and the bass slams it and bites the worm in half. I then cast out a little bit in front of it and I get it's attention it looked like it was about to slam my swim bait and then a 7lber comes out of nowhere and slams my swim bait. So I didn't know if anyone knows the answer to this or has seen this behavior before. The first case the littler fish let the big fish take the bait. It was almost as if the little one was about to commit but got called off so the bigger one could eat. In the second case the big one was going to commit and then the smaller one swooped in a stole it. What is your take on this I always wanted to know. I know there is hierarchy in other animal species I was just curious about bass, I'm not sure if there is a definite way to say yes or no maybe someone can shed some light I'm sure I'm not the only one who has thought about this

Ain't Nothing Worse
One of my ex girlfriends was bite by a yellow lab who was from a loving home and treated right. I wasn't trying to argue with you or say you were wrong I was just saying a dog bred and forced to fight would destroy ANY dog that's not. Regardless of blood line, color, pure or not They were big steroid looking dogs. But your right the way they treated em is EXACTLY why they bite people tey were scum bags. I have only seen a few things that they did but when the whole Mike Vick thing happened I watched a documentary about dog fighting and I could not believe the things that I saw them do to dogs to get then aggressive and willing to fight its disturbing
-
Ain't Nothing Worse
Agreed especially around your children!!! If me or my wife were bite by a dog not really a big deal but if it were my child! My son is 14 months and he loves dogs, If a dog ever attacked him god help that dog and its owner I don't think I would be able to control my emotions

While We Are Talking Dogs
Figures the Chinese would make a dog look like a lion and put it in their lion exhibit lol I forget what state this happened in but this guy cut his dogs hair to make it look like a male lion. He would take it for walks and people would freak out and numerous times the police were called "911!someone is walking Mufassa around Main Street." I'd imagine that those responding officers stayed in their squad cars and rolled down the window when approaching the man and his pet lol

Ain't Nothing Worse
Trust me the dogs I have been around would make a majority of the dogs you've been around look like the Taco Bell dog. People "about that life" breed em strictly to fight and when their time is up their time is really up. Some of these dogs look like they were involved in biogenesis scandal. IMO Pitbulls are the most loyal and one of the smartest dogs out there. We dont even need to mention loyalty I don't think there is a more loyal dog out there. But your lean mean hard charging machine wouldn't stand a chance against these "watered down dogs" lol. It's just that... Your parents could be athletes and you could be 6'11" but doesn't mean you can play basketball, but if you are not 6'11" and your parents weren't athletes but basically beat basketball into you and made you into what you are today... Who has a better shot the pure bred athlete or the "other athlete" who has forced to e bout that life lol. I just don't see the attraction of having an aggressive dog that you need to assert your dominance over. At the end of the day it's a dog and you are a human you are suppose to be superior. You want to assert your dominance over something aggressive get a permit and get a lion or tiger try treating that like some of these people treat Pits. I would say that to all my boys who were "bout that life"

Ain't Nothing Worse
