Late Fall Bass Fishing
When the surface temp becomes less than the temp on the bottom the water will literally turnover. Water on top will sink water and on the bottom will rise also bringing debris and mud up off the bottom. The water on the bottom is generally less oxygenated and now dirty causing the fish to go into a slump until things settle back down a little.

Need A Portable Graph
Yeah I'm familiar with SI. Boat I fish tournaments out of has it. Defiantly overkill for what I'm wanting lol.

Need A Portable Graph
Is shallow in "parts" do the lake mainly the tiny creek arm I have to go out to get into the lake. Rest is fairly deep 20-30' maybe deeper by the dam? That 4200 unit is exactly what I need. To bad they don't make them anymore.....

Flourocarbon Fishing Lines?
Flouro is more sensitive than mono or copoly because it is a denser line. Slack line bites are easy to detect. Abrasion resistance is good. It supposedly has the same light refraction as water so fish can't see it as easy. The bad.... If it gets a little kink or nick anywhere it will break. Knot strength is not quite as good though I haven't had a knot break yet just the line. The line is generally pretty stiff though a good dose of kvd line treatment helps. It does stretch no matter what any one says it is just doesn't immediately come back to the original length like mono. What that changes in my opinion is that it doesn't give it the springy feel and gives it the illusion of no stretch. When fishing it feels like it doesn't stretch but I know it does.....I checked lol. I have gone to it for all my bottom baits because of the sensitivity. As long as you keep a close eye on the line for Knicks and such u won't have problems.

What Action For The Veritas Rod?
I have a 7' mh and it is stout. A lot like most companies H. I use mine for a jig rod. Has little tip action which is fine for what I use it for. If u are going to be fishing in the slop I would get the mh. Will be a lot easier to horse fish with.

Need A Portable Graph
I have a 12 foot v bottom boat that I use on two lakes that are five minutes from me. I load this boat in the back of my pickup and haul it to the lake. I need a graph that I can take on and off while moving the boat around. How would I go about mounting the transducer...I can build something as I'm pretty handy if there are some suggestions. Not looking at spending a ton so a lower end unit is what I want but it needs to be usable.

How Fast To Work An Area When "searching" For Fish
When actually searching for fish I just throw once or twice and move on. The pros are looking for active fish that are going to bite and if they are going to they will usually bite in just a throw or two. Now if I know there are fish in the area, like I have found them before, I will completely dissect the area until I'm satisfied.

I use black shore minnow for everything except bluebird sky and middle of the day,, then I use glitter minnow or any type of shad color. I killed them this weekend in a tournament on beaver lake on the black minnow, my partner was using a bone color(usually a decent color) and they wouldn't sniff at it.

What Do You Consider A Trophy-Sized Fish?
I would agree with that, I have seen a couple of 7 1/2 and caught one but can only recall 2 that went over eight that I have personally seen.

How Do You Personally Set Your Drag?
I tend to adjust mine while fighting a fish, meaning I will set it by hand what I feel is close then when I hook a decent fish I will adjust it to the fish. I adjust it enough where if it makes a hard run it will slip but tight enough I can keep him pinned. After that I never touch it again. It is usually tight enough after that it won't or will barely slip on the hook set. That is for baitcaster, spinning I pretty much do the same thing but at a much lighter drag pressure, it almost always slips on hook set.

Why Are There So Many Knots For Fc Line?
I recently started using flouro, I have always used the palamor on everything but didn't with florio because of the horror stories. Tried about half a dozen different knots over the last six months. Tried all the usual suggested for flouro and kept getting breaks. Tried the palamor and haven't broke since.....go figure. Knot everyone says not to use is the only one I trust. I do take my time though and make sure the loop is flipped up on top before I cinch it. Next best for me was the "shaw grisgby knot".
