Finally got my Macoupin Craws
Friend of mine gave me one of these last summer and it caught me quiet a few bass. I contacted the man who makes these and asked him for a couple more along with a chatterbait made in the same colors. I had to wait til this winter as he only makes them during the winter months. What do you think of those 80 strand skirts? I can't wait to throw em this year.

Sorry Dean Rojas
It's braid. I started using line conditioner on my braid this year and after awhile the green faded.

Bass Fishing Yak
I got an Ocean Kayak Prowler Trident 13 last year for the smaller lakes where I'm not allowed to use my Tracker. I added Scotty rod holders and a crate to carry other gear and I really love it. I got the sand colored prowler because the bees are really bad when it comes to yellow.

What was your first artificial lure?
I remember this as though it was yesterday. It was the summer of 1968 and I was 10 years old. My dad took me to a local lake with a Zebco 202 and a pre-rigged Creme worm. I landed my first bass that day, a 2 1/2 lb monster!

Kistler Argon vs. Powell Max
I've got a couple of Powell rods and love em. Plan on picking up the 705 before the spawn.

Kind of ticked at BPS
Store preference: 1. Tackle Warehouse 2. Cabelas 3. BPS (not!)

Sorry Dean Rojas
Yeah, I have two of the tru tungsten frogs, they're stiffer than the spro. Tell you what, I'll sell them for half price, private me for address. They've never been used. After I opened them and felt how hard they were I didn't waste my time, but if you're looking for a couple for your collection.......

Sorry Dean Rojas
UPDATE: Here's the same frog after landing 11 bass. Other than a little paint coming off the front it's still providing solid hooksets. There has been no punctures from the hook, but with such a soft body that might change. Either way, with 11 bass to it's credit, it's paid for itself.

Sorry Dean Rojas
You're right about these frogs not taking on water, the only time I had to squeeze water out was after I had landed the fish. I didn't mean to be so critical of the Spro frogs, but I've given the Bronze eye more than a fair chance past couple of years and it just doesn't produce as well as I like. I've never claimed to be an expert, however I've fished 40+ years and I know how and when to set a hook. The River2Sea beats Spro hands down IMO.

Sorry Dean Rojas
I had eight bass blow-up on this frog this morning and was able to land six. Sorry Dean, but I think I'm retiring my Spro frogs. These River2Sea frogs have a much softer body and make hook-setting very easy.

Bigger Bait, Bigger Fish
Way to go Steezy! I've been throwing a 12" worm past couple weeks.

Yellow Magic Popper
I see where TW is running a special on these today. I already have a few of these baits, and while they are good baits I was wondering why everyone refers to them as "a premier Japanese topwater" bait? They come packaged in a hard plastic box and on the insert it clearly says "Made in China".

Pegging Solutions
You can also try using rubber bands. They're practically free and works great. Check my pics on another forum. http://billdanceoutdoors.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=12923.msg120029#msg120029

Southeast/Southcentral Oklahoma
If you folks haven't been hitting the beds you're missing out. I've seen countless bass bedding on a couple of favorite holes around here. Started the week using worms, throwing them over the beds then working them slow to the beds. Come Tuesday they lost interest in the worms and were busy chasing bluegill off their nests. We switched to Hoodaddies and lizards and the bass found these to be more intimidating. All in all had a productive week and I think we'll still see more of them moving in to bed.

World record bass a phony.....
Hannon an expert fisherman?? Tell him, Charlie Moore, and the Blue Dolphin to come down here and I'll smoke em. You can moan and groan all you want, the record stands.

Southeast/Southcentral Oklahoma
Hang in there Brian. I caught this one Saturday up on a known bedding area along with a couple of smaller males. A front came through that afternoon and when I tried again Sunday I didn't see a one. I think the spawn will be slow and long this year in Oklahoma.

Pegging Tungsten
I use nothing but tungsten and have been pegging my weights using this method for awhile now. Works great. http://billdanceoutdoors.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=12923.msg120029#msg120029

TW Costumer Service
Tackle Warehouse is faster, cheaper, and I love their daily specials. Now if General Motors could only follow their lead.
