  1. This is a multiple rod mount by Scotty that you could mount right in front of your cockpit. You'd still need to buy the rod holders that attatch to the mount. Drilling the holes for the mount will not hurt your kayak, but if you want to take off stress you can take one of those place mats people use on their tables and cut it out to place between the mount base and your kayak. You would want to cut out a second piece for the underside of the kayak wall if you use washers and nuts. 2. I don't see a problem with taking a female off the bed as long as she is taken legally. I've caught females off the bed many times, and after I've taken the vitals and a pic, I always turn her loose. I only wish others would do likewise.
  3. Oh yeah, nice HAWG!
  4. Tell Gary we got his back.
  5. When my wife saw it, she immediately said that I should put it in the bathroom in place of the BPS catalogs... ;D Ahhhhhh....the bathroom....where fishing dreams are made.
  6. That's a beautiful sunrise Monark! Where's that water located?
  7. The bait monkey is on the run here. I made a TW order yesterday and when I looked outside this morning, I saw my wife chasing the monkey around the yard. She was beating him over the head with one of my rods. Hey, that might make a good Ugly Stick commercial. :
  8. I'll start it. These are frames I took from a couple of videos.
  9. I use rod socks, they're cheap and work great.
  10. Link to the story. http://www.lsonews.com/fishing-news/1467-another-texas-lake-sees-a-new-record-largemouth
  11. TJ Nissen of Austin caught this HAWG late Thursday at Lake Austin. He caught it on a Bomber Fat Free Shad in 4-5 feet. It weighed 16.03, had a length of 28.25 and a girth of 21.7.
  12. As soon as I can get the bait monkey to jump on my wife's back I'm getting that one. :
  13. I have both Powell and Dobyns rods and I like them both. IMO,the Dobyns is a better looking rod with better components, if that's important to you. I refer to my Powells as my "battle rods" because they are looking a little rough (mainly the cork) from all the bass they've hauled in. ;D
  14. Cabelas is now offering the Pflueger Patriarch XT baitcaster for $199.99 to club members. That's $50 off.
  15. Yesterday I brought two bottles of KVD line conditioner in from an unheated garage and I could hear ice on the inside of the bottles. After thawing out, the liquid was milky and a little sticky. Yep, says right on the back of the bottle, "Do not let freeze." This lesson cost me $16.
  16. Nice catch, but those pics are making me shiver seeing how you guys are dressed.
  17. Those are nice smallies Francho! You land those from your kayak?
  18. i've got a couple of the older Bionic Blades I bought 10 years ago for the kids and ended up using them myself over the years. Got them on sale and for the money I think they're a good rod, they've hauled in more than their share of fish.
  19. Great video! I also subscribed. Neil Peart Rules!
  20. It's both interesting and fun to watch the evolution of bass fishing. Pros have and always will establish the course of fishing because of the multitude of people watching them. I do, however, get a kick out of watching how they change over time; I remember when a young KVD publically talked down spinning reels and said how he would never use them. Look at the deck of his boat today, he even endorses them.
  21. Are there any Oklahoma kayak bass fisherman hanging around this forum?
  22. You will not see my big baits for sale Speedbead. I remember being critiaized by some for using trout-pattern swimbaits in bass lakes where there were no trout...some of those guys are eating crow now. Bass are opportunist and will go after after most anything that swims or twitches. I haven't thrown mine in a couple of years, but I think I'll pull em out this next season. Nice videos!
  23. Only one, Gene Larew's HooDaddy.
  24. Ordered my Trident 13 from OutdoorPlay.Com http://www.outdoorplay.com/ fall of 09 and it was shipped freight to my front door within 4 weeks. I think I paid $143 for shipping then, but I see now they are offering free shipping. Get a sit-on-top and go long, you won't be disappointed. They're more stable and track better.
