  1. I I was curious would you fish a premium location that has 18 lakes/ponds that's manged well? Or fish above average public fishing lakes? Keep in mind the premium fishing has a premium price of 900.00 a year.. I fished this place quit a bit but when did fish it I was only paying 250.00 now it's under new owners and has cleaned the trashy people out of there run down mobile homes and fixed all the roads and boat ramps. There is some huge huge fish in these waters. Here are a few pictures of what is to offer..
  2. its not the tourney directors choice. Its just that most of all the lakes that have great fishing are all 25hp limit. Im not saying i agree with these rules but the state fish and game are the one that set the rules. Honestly i would rather have great electronics and a small motor im not fishing with the motor but i sure am using waypoints and sonar all of the time. If i want to go fast i get the speed boat out and head to the river. I love the 25 4 stroke whenit comes to fuel cost. 70.00 to fill it and its still 3/4 full and have been using every weekend for a month. When i fill the speed boat up it cost 600.00 and last me 2 days. Granite i have to run 110 octane cause of the blower and high compreshion im running.
  3. I also fish midwest central IL and i do allot of punching.. I bought the 766C bought a 735 for frogs and i also have croix LTB 7.4 for frogs as well. Can never have to many rods.. Its only money you can make more..
  4. I have a fiberglass boat its just not a fishing boat. and i think Rolling up to a tourny in a 28ft boat with 800hp and all my fishing gear they would probably laugh there ass off at me. I gureentee i would be the fastes on the lake.. Lol
  5. 80% of the tournements in my area are 25HP limit. And 90% of the guys fish with a aluminum boat. Maybe more..
  6. I took the cover off the front makes sure you keep a eye open for wires they are quit a few ran there. But that's all did pulled the cover and cut the foam out and now I have 7.6 rods in the top 1 and 2 spots. The bottom I use for crappie poles.. Cause there is no lengthen those.. But it worked like a charm and took me about 45 mins to do.

  8. I have done that. Not near as many as lake insight. Just want to be sure lake insight has more lakes but does it show them I hi Def? Or is only depths? Just wanted to see if I could get some good answers on here
  9. Wondering what's the best map card to get for Central IL.. Navonics vs Lake insight? I have lake insight unopened don't want to open till I'm sure.. Or if anyone knows someone that sells SD cards for Central IL can you put me in contact with them thanks..
  10. And update we had our regular morning meeting said employee looked cashed. And could tell the boss is on to him. There is 60 brothers/sisters on my line. The said employee was hiding in the back of the group like always. The boss stood him the whole time. So I'm 100% sure he is on to him. I felt very uncomfortable at the meeting but took part just like I always do and my boss did give me nod as to saying TY for being honest.. I know this isn't gonna happen over night but see the employee has not learned his lesson and is still coming after a hard night on the sauce it's only a matter of time before I am called to escort this employee to the door and take his badge and hand it over to my boss. I was praying that his incident was gonna wake him up.. But it's back back to business as usual.. I will keep people posted on the situation.. Thanks for your support and words of wisdom.   11. Sorry i didnt get pictures i was busy yesterday with the tourny. Didnt get much sleep the night before i was up setting up rods till 12am out of bed at 4. Didnt get home till ate last night and went and picked up a pug puupie today so... I will try and get some pictures up this week. I will say i loved the rods that i did get setup and used. can i say they are better then LTBs not yet but i can say i do like the full cork handle allot better then i thought i would. I did also like the feel of the rods i never understood what people were saying whenthey said dobyns were better balanced but it does seem to me that the rods just plain felt rite in my hand.. The funny thing is i caught all my fish on the 745 dx with the rocket. I thought that was kinda ironic but with the pressure the fish were undr and the amount of hard baits being thrown it doesent suprise me that creature baits were the bait of choice for me.. Sorry for not getting the pictures of the rods up yet. I just didnt set up the 766 yet i new i wasnt gonna be punching so i just didnt set it up. Anyway thanks for everyones help and especially thanks to iabass for taking the time to PM with a good share of info on how to set the rods up and what rods to order..

  13. I guess some of you havnt read the whole thread i have already reported it to your comon buisness practices anonomously. Now the supervisor will be notified by HR in the morning its up to them to make a case. I have nothing to do with it from here on out. Im hoping that he cleans his act up if not they will be watching him.. I felt this way its off my chest and up to them to make a case.
  14. It's not that we are not trained. It's that unless this employee asks for help there is nothing that can be done.. We can not force him to say he has a problem.. If he would just go to medical and say I have a problem then the union can help. Plus the company will play for his help in full. But if you wait and get caught it's to late.. I have tried to get this person to go and ask for help but he just won't do it.. Sadly enough if you test dirty for heroin, cocaine, Marijuana, and drug you get 30days off without pay and have to do rehab.. 1st offense. 2nd offense is 60 days off inpatient rehab.. 3rd offense indefinitely suspension.. That is for union guys. Company and outsource workers test positive you are fired and and banned from ever facility plant world wide.. As far as alcohol goes it's 0 tolerance for both parties but the company has been known to take into consideration the employees background and work ethic and bent the rules more like if they like you.. You might get a chance.. This guy is the last guy to be converted full time in the facility since 2012. So he will be thrown to the wolf's. Plus he just caused 100,000 in damages. But to a company that makes billions that's like penny's.. Now over Easter break one of the lines was left on by 2nd shift on Thursday night and not found till Monday morning and caused 2 million in damages.. Now some people got walked out for that.. No alcohol or drugs involved just stupidity. But the union has already got there jobs back for them.. Point is you can't get caught and then cry wolf cause it's to late.. Just man up and ask for help and you shall receive it. Don't ask and roll the dice and see if you get caught..

  19. Yes there was a report and they are doing a safety walk Monday morning.. They They sent the whole line rite after it happened if you had personal time to use you could and got got the heck out of there cause he had Y time.. You have to understand we don't see management that often I see my boss 2 tomes a day morning meeting and at lunch. This said employees just avoids the boss. Trust me if he didn't the boss would smell it. This place is so big the building is over a 1/2 mile long and around 1200people on first shift. It is very busy we are probably the most efficient line in the building we don't get messed with cause we get are **** done and it's done rite so they leave the line alone they have other **** **** to worry about then babysitter grown adults.. Hence why I new I had to say something he is gonna continue to do doth is chances are will never get caught.. Unless there is a injury then no drug test g is done.. Hell He'll the company you just implemented random drug test 2 years ago. We could smoke at are work stations I tell IL changed there smoking law.
  20. I'm not 100% he was when this incident happened but from working with him in the past he used to be in my section. Everyday he smelled like he had been drinking. The trucker is a fork lift trucker she actually gave him a ride to work yesterday morning and said she had to roll. Her window down it was so bad.. We outsource allot of fork truck jobs that's a whole bother subject. Thats one of the main reasons I had such a hard time saying something wasn't totally sure he had been drinking. Just heard that he smelled of alcohol.. He was just moved to this section 2 weeks ago before that I worked with him every day.. And witnessed the two close calls he had. And K ow for a fact he had been atleast up late. Thise times no one else was involved once he fell off the platform. He was on. The other time he dropped a part he was putting on and it about crushed his foot. These were re recorded as near misses.. It's really kinda confusing. I didn't really explain very well in my OP.. But the bottom line is I know he does drink allot and comes smelling of liquor almost daily. So I thought I needed to let someone know. After reading over OP again I feel as though people assumed I was sure he was drinking on job. Which is not the case... Regardless it's done and they will be watching him closely.. It was on my part more of letting someone know before someone got hurt. .

  22. believe it or not i sat on the toilet for a good 1/2 hr thinking about this very same thing.. I had allot of things going throgh my head today.. Im not saying anyones posts or comments are wrong in any way cause to tell you the truth tghis thred and talking with my fiance helped me to make the rite choice. But untill you have to do this very same thing its hard to understand fully. Anyine can type and say they would do one thing bu actully doing it is another.. Again not saying or comenting to anyone that posted on the thread.. The union family runs deep and its so deep that even his brothers and sisters that work with him directly didnt rat on him. And tehy were the ones that could of got hurt or killed. They all ar efully aware he has a problam its not like i was the only one who new about this.. I was the one beings i am steward felt that i needed to make the choice of blowing the wistle or not.. If you guys can understand that. Its no secret he has a drinking problem... And yes they all come to me for every little thing tha happens and today not one of the 7 people that were working with him and came and told me about the fender dropping it was actaully a out sourced trucker that first told me and then two union brothers from another line.. Agin if you have never worked in a tight union its hard to understand. But just so we are all clear its in the companys hands now and his own. Im just preying that he learned his lesson and doesnt come in monday or ever again after drinking..
  23. No license from DUIs. This guy walks over Almost 4 miles to work.. He is definitely a functioning alcoholic.. And the only thing he has left is his job.. My biggest fear is he will get caught and loose his job.. Then he has nothing. Rock bottom at 42.. Gets messed up and ends up taking his own life.. I don't know I can't beat myself up over this anymore it's out of my hands..
  24. Ok i just wanted to say thanks to all who commented. I appreciate everyone's opinions.. I did read over the contract book as stated before the employee has to ask for help to receive help. This guy will not do that. I have tried several times to get him to go to medical and ask for it we a eap program that would put him into rehab and his insurance would pick up the tab.. So after possible during my options heavily I decided to contact hr by phone. And asked several questions about what would happen if I told my boss or went I to HR in my building and they basically said I would have go on record and if the employee was terminated the union would want to know who it was that said something.. That is what I don't want. So I asked if there was anonymous way of letting the correct people know.. And there was a number for are common business practices it is all anonymous. I feel like **** but I called left said employees name work location and section and supervisors name. And that I suspected that said employee was coming to work after drinking heavily the night before. This is not what I wanted to do but had to do. Now what is gonna happen he will. They are now gonna call local hr who in turn will call in supervisor and then they can watch said employee and see if it is true.. This way it's up to him to catch him. And no one knows who it was that called. So I will not be on any re record or be connected with ratting on him... The plus side of the matter is hopefully the incident scared the **** out of him and he don't come in drunk anymore and he will. Not be reprimanded.. If he does they will catch him.. And then I will be called when they want to walk him out. Hoping that day doesn't come.. This way the best way I could deal with it.. Thanks
