  1. That's horrible! Glad to hear they were ok
  2. How can I explain this. The neighborhood kids take frozen finger mullet and throw it out in the water and catch bowfin/mudfish, cut their line, then kick the fish in the water. Then they say how they catch wayyy more fish than I do. I'm there with my lure/soft plastics and I catch maybe 2-3 bass per 5-6 of their bowfin. Then they say how I spent $130+ on my rod/reel when they have old plastic rods that work better. How can I win this argument lol. (This is not serious, I know I can just ignore it, but I've known these guys for 10 years, I just wanna mess with them.) Just chime in on points I can make in my arguments lol.
  3. My dad used to fish at a spillway dam in Coral Springs, FL in the eighties, but that's where all the snakeheads have invaded. C14 canal going from a spillway dam from the Everglades. I'll have to go down there some time, about 30-40 minute drive. See if there's any more bass lol.
  4. I knew you were going to post it on here. At least put a picture on here. Ahhh, I'll so it for you tomorrow Here's his fish guys: Looks like two different fish, but the top was a picture taken off another picture lol.
  5. Any particular brands? Do they have Sufix Performance at Bass Pro?
  6. Yeah I guess that would help haha. I'll be fishing for largemouth bass in everglades, lakes, canals. I'll be using anywhere from crankbait and topwater lures, and also some 10 inch worms. The reel is on a 6 foot 6 in. medium action rod.

If they work good, why buy more? We're going to Bass Pro tomorrow, how much more are you going to buy?
  8. I've seen people do that, never tried it myself. I guess if one color isn't working, color it another! You bought it, your choice now.
  9. What do you recommend for the type of line to put on a Shimano Sahara 2500 spinning reel? (something that Bass Pro sells) Braided/mono, brand, lb test? Thanks!
  10. Never heard of Green Top, but Dick's Sporting Goods has a better selection than Gander. If I don't feel like driving, I go to Dick's. If i do, BPS.
  11. Those are some fat catches there lol! Nice fish!
  12. Thank you sir!
  13. That's good to know! Thanks for the welcome!
