  1. How bout being a Cubbie fan along with a KU fan during football season!
  2. The tube is very soft and hollow. It compresses extremely flat with the hook shaft when you get a bite. You don't even have to texpose the hook point as the tube has a recess it sits in and is basically weedless.
  3. The 100 has the red ring that you have to unscrew to to remove the spool after you remove the side plate.
  4. On the 100 it has the lock down piece to secure the spool. The pictures of the 50 I've seen do not. How does this effect the smoothness of the 50? No where local has a 50 but the 100's I've handles were amazing.
  5. If I run a trailer of a spinnerbait, its a tube. I rarely fish them, but when I do I don't use trailers.
  6. Those are the same two I got. Hopefully I will get the chance these days off.
  7. Nothing you said was heard after we seen the picture of Jessica Rabbit. Matter of fact I don't think I'm evening typing this lol. As long as its not between Jan 17-29 I may be interested.
  8. I can't get the wind to die down enough around here to even try and throw a tube. Which color tube did you use?
  9. I went ahead and bought 3 to try out. Thanks.
  10. I am 100% biased as I love to fish Jigs, but 400 dollars would out fit you with one hellova premo jig set up. Dobyns 735 or 734 rod for around 200 new. Shimano Curado or Chronarch used around 110-160 new/ 120-200 new Use the rest on a North Star jig order to outfit you with some jigs. This is what I use or would use with the 400 dollars. Substitute your favorite brand of reel/rod.
  11. Contact Mark Copley at this link : http://www.strikeking.com/contact-us/13-corporate/2-mark-Copley They are supposed to run true. Mark is good about getting back to customers, but he takes a few days to do it. He will make it right.
  12. I really haven't had any issues with them at all. Check this video out though. Most cranks can be tuned to run true really easy.
  13. How bad does the sellers backside hurt lol I thought 280 was a steal on mine but wow. Nice grab. To be honest, I have more fun fishing my 733 than my 745. Its light and with my 50E it balances out perfectly. I got some 1/4 and 3/8 oz jigs I've been throwing just fine. I've also been pitching 1/4oz and 3/8oz shakey head rigs with ease. Anymore than 1/2 oz and it feels a tad over loaded for me. I've ran some weightless flukes and had no trouble loading them as well.
  14. Storm uses VMC hooks. The stock hooks in all the new Storm stuff are fantastic hooks. Thanks for the update about these. I'm headed to Academy later today and will pick up a couple.
  15. VMC makes the 2x short shank out barbs but they are like a unicorn in the States. They may have cut production on them, but I had a few. I lost my last lipless yesterday with them on it.
  16. The Mustad KVD's are all that I use. Every major retailer has them in stock.
  17. Don't listen to the guy above me. He will recommend a Shimano Core and then next thing you know your broke and buying a second core before the first arrives lol I would suggest jumping to the Chronarch E. I have both E and the Curado G's and while I use my G every outing, I prefer my Chronarchs. Also if you loose a breaking tab, make a post in the Flea Market that your looking for one. Most guys have 20 or so extra floating around and will drop you one in the mail.
  18. 50MG7 is on the way. Should be here Wednesday hopefully. Do the higher end reels like the Core need bearings flushed and lubed cleaned out like the rest? I'm buying this for my pitching rod, but the more I read on how great it is for moving baits, I am thinking my swim bait set up might want it more. Thanks for all the help guys.
  19. Happy bday sir! Thanks for all your help.
  20. Sounds good. I'll stick with them then. I usually bite off an inch on my flip b swims too. For some reason my strikes go way up with a shorter trailer. Ya you need to get a name for it. Lol.
  21. My latest order from North Star arrived today. I got some cold weather jigs and a few of the Original Swim Jigs. Roadwarrior has always praised them, so I'd thought I'd try. The Swim Jig is called "Chris's Craw" I've got it paired with a Havoc Subwoofer in Alabama Craw. I may need to find a better small trailer but it will do for now. I got some 1/4oz Black Series Brown Craws paired with a KVD perfect chunk in Falcon Lake Craw. This should make for a slow fall. Also got the 3/8oz hair jigs in Summer Craw these are paired with a Berkley 3" chigger craw in pumpkin green flake. Last is a custom color mnbassman23 had Chris make up for him. It's a blue green craw. I got some of these a few months ago and had some decent luck in the summer so hopefully this will be an awesome cold weather jig. It was made to match the Bass Assassian Prue Craw in Delta Melon. As always perfect quality and exceeds my expectations on his work. Thanks Chris. I've got another order for some Flip n Swims coming. I'm about out.
  22. You can't go wrong with it. I've got one in a MXF, and its a great quality rod. Probably the best rod for the 80-90 range you can get. It's got a lifetime warranty, double footed guides all but 4 from the tip, good craftsman ship and the lifetime warranty is worth mentioning again.
  23. It's a graphite rod designed for cranking. Acts like glass, feels like glass but more sensitive and lighter. Until you have fished with a graphite cranking rod you will never know. Your ripping the hooks out cause you rod is a fast action. A graphite cranking rod has a moderate action to help prevent this. Same action as a glass rod.
