What Does A "country Mile" Mean To You?
+1 I think it is relative term, not absolute term.

Confusing?
I bring both end cutter and bold cutter with me. I pinch barbs on worm hooks and many of jigs, but some of the jigs still have barbs. I had a couple of time that sign hook came through right next to eye. The chances are the damage was already done, but I cut barb off so that I don't cause any more damage. It is not a gut-hooking example, but I believe one should always carry some tool that can cut the biggest hook using. I wish I had a tool on my when I hooked on my brother's cheek long time ago.

Spoonplugging Questions
I should have given more background of why I am asking this question. I am going through Buck Perry's Spoonplugging book right now about half way done. In that book some of the terminology he is using confused me. And I wanted to get clarification on his terms. They are: 'Free Running - Bottom Bumping' lures 'Walking' Lures These are categories of lures he describes in the book. All I wanted to know was example of these categories of lures. Other categories of lure he uses such as 'Jump' type lure is clear. (He means bottom bunching baits such as jigs and t-rigged plastic)

Good Light H Punching Rod Around $100
Thanks folks for the inputs. The rod being only 7' sounds good. I might have had a wrong idea about punching rod. I thought you just get an inexpensive hard stick. Anyhow, I guess I can do 7'3"... I've tried the chair leg cap thing with quarters in them before, actually with current MH flipping stick. I kept bumping it into things or myself and didn't like it much. I even duck taped it to rod and made a kinda mess too. 7'11 can handle upto 3 oz. Maybe I need that because I want to use 1 1/2 oz weight with baits. However, I am not too excited about using 7'11'. I really am enjoying shorter rods these days in general. I will stop by at BPS (1 1/2 hour away) with the list of candidates to try out if they carry these.

Spoonplugging Questions
Questions to those who is familiar with spoonplugging... Does the 'Free Running - Bottom Bumping' Lures mean the same thing as what he calls 'Walking' Lures? Are they basically anything sinks, except for bottom baits such as jigs and t-rigged worms? Lures like lipless cranks, blade baits, spoons and spinner baits fall into this category? Thanks.

Good Light H Punching Rod Around $100
I need something with lure rating up to 1 1/2 oz I think. I wonder if anyone use shorter rods for punching? Would that not work? I'm asking this because I like shorter rods these days and that would make rods lighter...

Confusing?
When I fish from bank, with recent dry spell we have in California, I find lots of lost plastics. I always bring a zip lock bag to put them in so I can put them in trash later. As I pick them up, I say 95% of them have hooks in them, far from dissolved, even if the plastic look very old. Maybe he practices this so that he does not have to take a risk of killing fish in competition which he can get penalized for. And "it would be dissolved in a couple of days" is a convenient excuse for that action.

Bass Fishing Around Reno??
I saw on TV a couple of years ago they found lots of bass in Lake Tahoe and it was making a big news in the community. Maybe that was this news: http://www.sfgate.com/science/article/Lake-Tahoe-Smallmouth-bass-threatens-native-fish-2335050.php

Good Light H Punching Rod Around $100
Coming to summer, one rod I might still be looking to buy is H action punching rod. I'm looking for something not too tip heavy and something light, basically something that is not a chore to use it all day. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Right O Left-Handed Baitcaster
I'm right handed and I've been doing right hand crank on baitcaster for decades. Last year I tried to switch to lefty so that I can pitch with right hand and quickly get a hold of the handle with my left hand without changing the rod hand. Well, didn't work. I felt pain on my right wrist after using one day. Basically I over worked right wrist. My right wrist didn't get the usual break of switching rod hands all day. Now this rod was long 7'7" pitching/flipping rod which is heavy, very different from light shorter spinning tackle I think. But, this something to think about.

Daiwa Tatula Review On Tt
I actually have two identical rods that I put them on. They both cast about the same. The reels have flushed bearings btw.

Daiwa Tatula Review On Tt
I've been using Tatula for about a month and half. The reel feels very tight and smooth. It casts well and break works great. However I didn't go 'wow' like some other reviews I've read. TWS seems to work. However I can do everything I want to do with Curado G. Right now I am inclining towards Curado G, which everybody loves to hate. I'm not selling Tatula yet thou. I feel Curado accomplishes things with a simple design, while Tatula is 'working hard at it' to accomplish the same. Yeah, I'm with Crankinstein, the weight is more noticeable than size. (I have big hands, BTW.)
