I do well with gammy ewg's..After catching a few bass the plastic can get mangled a bit. I then punch a new hole slightly to the side if the original hole and it's like new again. Vary your insert at both points into untouched plastic, this extends the life of the plastic and prevents slide downs and hook point hang ups.

Im a big believer in flouro.. since I fish soft plastics 98* of the time , love the strength but most importantly, supeprior sensitivity. Make sure the line is wet prior to the lock down. Kvd line conditioner is also key. Use seaguar invisx but plan on spooling with tatsu soon. Tight lines

This year I've caught my top three bass on a culprit 10" in June bug or red shad. I'll catch a couple dinks here and there, less action, but more quality. However hook sets have been problematic at times. I've used gammy ewg offset or owner twist lock. May just be the slower bite of late or I may be in need to experiment with a thicker hook. Bought some heavy jigs today to try out this week to see if I'm more productive.

I negotiated down to 3850, meeting the guy in a couple days on a lake for a test run (much appreciated). My budget will allow for some upgrades if need be (new trolling motor and fish finders). He's selling because he wants a larger outfit. Will keep you all posted and I'm sure I'll have a few more questions. Tight lines, Goose.

I contacted the owner and he sounded not so confident, "runs fine but you may want more power"...Anyone have any input? I do not river fish, for the most part it's just me and a buddy. Any other questions you all would ask? This will be my first boat, trying to come up with what to offer. Thx all!

I've been catching quality fish with 10" or slightly smaller t-rigged culprit or zoom mag trick worms lately. 3/16 oz tungsten weight or less. Key is to fish it slow, throw multiple times to good structure and work it very tight. Bite usually happens as you bust thru the structure on the down fall. Keep good contact with the bait and watch your line. Good luck.

When picking u a trophy from the bank. Have and about 60 yards left on the spool after having t o break off. Casting about 3/4 the distance it was..Bought the reel three months ago. Absolutely loved the reel until this point. Is the decreased performance a product of less line on the spool , dropping it in the water, or does it sim ply need cleaned and the gears lubed up again ? I typically throw it six hours a week... Thx in advance, I'm new to the higher end reels. Have it spooled wit # 15 invisix flouro

I'm a form believer in kd line conditioner....Apply a heathy coat when initially spoiling flouro throughout the reel. I also use seaguar, #15. If you're still having trouble try improving the Indian nit the arrow.

Texas rigged , 3/16 oz tungsten for the most part but the quarter oz is used for heavy cover or when I go deep on windy days. Culprit 10 inch cut down about an inch with a 4/0 owner screw lock has produced my top two bass this season. Junebug or red shad. Another go to for me is the baby brush hog in green pumpkin , watermelon , green pumpkin with blue or red flake.

Abu reels and most recently rods , but I llove Loomis rods , specifically the imx series when I find them for a deall.

Agree with most of the above, red shad, June bug, and tequila shad t rigged with 3/16 or 1/4 0z weight has been one if my favorites for years. 4/0 + hook and you're good to go when fishing for the queens.

Also, need to look into what electronics come standard with this model. Fish finder, etc.

Tn, I'm with you seems like a solid deal so far. Wasn't planning on buying anything until winter rolled around but a sale is a sale . I get the feeling these folks probably don't fish and have no use for the boat but they were left with it after a death in the family and just want to get it off their hands. Hello all, Long time lurker first time poster...love the site, so much good info. Anyway, I'm in the market for my first bass boat, have owned a handful of small beat up Jons. Over the past few months I've been asking around and keeping an eye on craigslist. Have had my eye on the listing below for a while. Was first listed in Early May for 7500 and has now dropped to 4799. Have only seen pictures, but it sounds as though there are only a few cosmetic issues. I fish smaller bodies of water typically so a tracker would be plenty of boat. I would assume the trolling motor would come with but I would ask.
