Rude Fishermen Rant
When I run into idiots on public waters, I pack up and move on. I've confronted folks in certain situations in the past, but in my experience it only creates more headache when I tell Johnny bestfishermanever he's in the wrong. I do understand folks confronting people though, making them aware of "fishing etiquette" on the water so hopefully they'll have a little more decensy in the future. How about the post from Sam talking about the tournament angler who would have his dad race ahead to the best spots and carry a shotgun out on the deck of his boat for everyone to see.

Best All Around Jig?
When fishing rip-rap or rocky points a northstar football head is my go to, specifically the camo-craw color. The black series or the knockout jig has been great for me around laydowns and brushpiles.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Oh I know it blue my 40#'s of thrust leaves a lot to be desired. When I sit on Santa's lap this year you know what I'm asking for! Wicked cold front moved through today with plenty of wing and rain. Going to be a cool week...

Hootie, just pointing out that I've noticed a lot of generous folks on this site, helping others. A good thing!

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I'm just north of Columbia Mo, and all of you sitting on the couch today probably said a lot less curse words than I did out on the lake. 20+ mph steady winds just don't agree with my 16 foot aluminum Lowe.

Keeping Muskrats Out Of My Boat.
d**n youre bells are way bigger than mine. I would have wet my droors if I saw a muskrat in the boat after taking the cover off.

Favortite Shaky Head Worm/plastics
Zoom Magnum trick worm, or mag finesse worm. Also, the yum ed shaky head (I use 3/8-5/8) rigged with a 10" rage thumper worm is rigged up at all times on my boat. Hop it slow, you will find keeper sized fish.

Fall Turnover
I would call a local guide service, or bait shop if available.

Rage Bait
My most productive has been the space monkey, probably because it's been productive for me fished a variety of ways. Flipping, casting, punching, and even weightless topwater. However, the 10" thumper in green pumpkin has been my go-to dragging through deep lake Ozark brushpiles either t-rigged or on a Yum ed shakey head. Seems to weed out the shorts and attract big keeper sized bass. As a jig trailer rage craws and chunks have also been solid for me, great action.

- Favorite Beaver Type Bait?
RI sweet or smallie beaver..great for a small or longer jig trailer, also great for pitching/flipping.. Very resilient as well. The corn dog with chartreuse tip has been excellent for me, and the green Gobi paired with a small weight and small, light t-rigged hook has been great in creeks around here for smallmouth.- Glx Flipping Stick Question
Meant to say, "Does the added length of a 7 1/2+' rod call for a much thicker/heavier backbone, or is it this way because it's a flipping stick specifically?"- Glx Flipping Stick Question
GLX 829C FPR specifically. I bought this rod with the intention of making it my main jig(1/2oz+)/ heavy t-rig rod. I couldn't find the older model jig/worm GLX in a length longer than 7'1", hence the reason I went with the new flipping series in 7'5". I rarely flip, mostly pitch/cast, but again wanted the added length so I went with this rod Long story short, fished with it for the first time tonight and it just seems flat out heavy and not as sensitive as my 6'6" imx or my 6'8" Loomis nrx. Since it was labeled as a "flipping" rod, I'm thinking it's much more stout than other 7'5"+ rods across the board, but am I wrong? Does the added length of a mod 7' rod call for a much thicker/heavier backbone, or is it this way because it's a flipping stick specifically? By the way the rod in question is 7'5" MH F. I've never owned a rod over 7', they may all be this way. I just need to be told so if thats the case. I only have a few days to return the rod, so I'm trying to figure something out quick. Hope this makes some kind of sense... Thx in advance folks- This Is My Norm...
Stating the obvious, but that thing is a flat out pig. Very interesting read on the tackle tour link.- Strike King Space Monkey
My favorite in the ragetail line along with the rage craw as a jig trailer.- Is It Still Good Bass Fishing This Time Of Year? If So What Should I Use Now?
I fish central MO. For about the last three weeks after most of my lakes were completely done turning over, the fall bite was on. Good numbers and quality, bait fish were holding shallow soaking in the mild sun and cooler waters and the bass followed. Fast forward to this week, bait fish have all but dissapeared, early morning or evening has been fair. Last night a major cold front swept through the Midwest and they're talking 20's on Saturday night here. Will be interesting this weekend but you can't catch fish sitting on the couch! May be time to bust out the crappie gear and work on a feast.- Life After Sports And Cars
As others have said welcome, and you are in the right place as there is a wealth of knowledge and experience on these forums. I played sports through college and have fulfilled "the rush" after college by competing with my own self to become a better angler and share my passion with others.- Just Caught My Pb An Hour Ago
Nice, I've been in your shoes once from the bank this year as well. After hours and hours of catching drinks, when you finally hook into a big girl and she makes a run for it the feeling is great! Kind of like being dealt blackjack at the table when you have big money out only better.- Winter Fishing
Very interesting. I live in mid MissourI. Gowing up the start of school in late August usually meant the end of fishing for me until next summer break because of baseball/golf/ basketball. I have renewed my bass fishing obsession this year though and am enjoying every minute of it, whether I'm catching fish or not. Heck, I've had some of my best days here in Missouri as we transition into fall. Im excited to get out on the water in the winter months when no one else is, and prove a few people wrong that swear you can't catch fish after thanksgiving. I'm all ears if anyone would care to enlighten me on typical bass behavior when the water temps are very cool. I'm assuming deep and slow? Similar to the dog days of summer? I could be wrong but appreciate any advice- Culprit Worm Tips
Tried and true culprit 10" worm. Fish in any water, Texas rigged with a weight of your choice or no weight. I've had lots of success slowly dragging and hopping through brush piles and lay downs. I''ve caught fish on name a color.- Kc Area Get Together
First post over here, recently moved to the Columbia Mo area from southern Ill for work. Man you all get into the smallies! Can't make this get together but will set aside a weekend when spring rolls around. Kylek, I wasnt able to make it down to LOZ for the bass bash, how'd it treat ya? Talked to a buddy of mine early this afternoon and at that point 6.57 took the 60k. Lots ofnice fish despite widespread lake turnover and a wicked cold front that moved through just before the weekend.- Do Oils/chemicals From Your Hands Affect Baits While Pitching?
this, without question. - Favorite Beaver Type Bait?
