  1. Okay, i'll make an order once I can get some money.. Where are you fishing in northern wisconsin?
  2. Okay, so i'll still purchase some rage craws.. All my jigs are 20years old, I accuired them from a friends dad who passed. The skirts are one or two color silicone, and the jig heads themself obviously show wear. I have green/black, blue/black, red/black. I have a lot of blue gills in the lake, so would the blue work best? I've heard people try to match the skirt with the trailor. It'll be hard beccasue my skirts aren't a very nice appealing color, but is that what I should do?
  3. I know a large portion of bass angelers live in the southern states but I know there's a few in the midwest including me in northern wisconsin. Most People go for walleye or panish during ice fishing not bass so it tends to be called the off season for bass around this time because of the ice on the lakes. Now is when I want to get stuff ready for new tactics. Preferably jig fishing.. I know the basics of jig fishing, but I have a few questions.. 1.) What is a good trailor if i'm fishing lakes with no crawfish? I always seee rage craw trailors for everyone but thats not what we have around here mostly. 2.) I have lots of weeds under the majority of the lake I love to bass fish on, will a lighter jig sit on top of these rather than sink into them? 3.) I know a lot of people like the "Double twitch" retrive with the rage craw trailor, because of the way they act, but can I do that with others? Or whats a good all around retrieve? Any help would be appreciated!

  6. I have bug 1oz football jigs with long skirts.. Whats pegging? I have a bronzeye spro frog that I threw over them for a while, but its so thick, I dont even know if they can see it under.
  7. This will help a lot to know what you have and were you can use all of them.. 2 years later I still don't use all styles of jerkbaits to their full potential.. Line wise. Power pro 20lb test is cheap and it works.. if you wanna get fancy go suffix 832. But braid is a must for jerkbaits its way better action and sentitivity and no stretch.
  8. Here in northern wisconsin the water temp is about 40 degrees, but im still seeing bass all around the docks? What will they bite on at this time? spinnerbaits? lipless cranks? Jerks? I would love to end my season with a few nice bass before icefishing walleyes for months.
  9. I'm only 15, so bank fishing is a huge part of my bass intake. Jerkbait's are my absoulute favorite. Have to fish them with braided line then the jerk part is killer. Bass will come a long ways for a jerkbait. I will throw them in just about anyplace anywhere. Just make sure you keep a good cadence and have pauses in it. thats when the bass will inhale it like nothing.
  10. I definitely love to powerfish with lip less rattle traps and spinnerbaits.. I see just about everyone on this lake throwing a lot of senkos and powerbait normal sized ribbontailed worms.. I've noticed on the far size of the lake is very weedy and has big matts that would need to be punched through.. I've never punched through matts before only heard of it.. Would the big bass potentionally be under there?
  11. Most worms my buddies and I have thrown have been 4-6inches. I haven't seen any larger around here but I could try the big ones offline.. As for jigs.. What Kind of jigs? Football? Swim jigs? and What is a good size to try and a good trailor just a pork rind? I have about 4-5 feet of water collum to fish throught the lake alll under that is thick weeds with mudd bottom.
  12. So i've been fishing this lake with the biggest bass around, known for great quality bass. I've been catching tons of bass, but none are the 7lbers I see and hear about.. Its a lake with very little structure, it has maybe 20 docks otherwise all about 7ft deep with 5 ft of weeds all around. I've used pastic worms, crankbaits, spoons, spinners, jerkbaits, even large fancy swimbaits. But I'm not catching these monsters, what should I be looking for as in places to fish? What should I be using lure wise? Should I try bass jigs? Any advice?
  13. Bass fishing with Jig poles? haha thats crazy! Im just using trilene XL 4lb mono in blue
  14. Favorite crankbait, or the size?
  15. Okay, everyone now a days is using the baitcasting and big pole like a winch with 40lb braid, but lets be real men now and try Ultralight with 4lb mono. I caught a 16inch 2.5lber the other day on this tackle with a topowater, and it was a great fight! anyone every try ultralight fishing? Favorite line? and lures? or just cool stories!
  16. Will a smallmouth hit my bronzeye frog? The JR?
  17. Just heard of this mojo rig this morning, can someone explain to me how to use it, it's tackle needed, and maybe a video, any help is great!
  18. The rod is an 8ft eagle claw trolling rod it says.. It is to big for a swimbait reel? Not the rod..
  19. So I've recently started to throw swimbaits in the 3-4oz size and range and im using this 7ft heavy rod rated for that size lures and this spinning matching reel. Trying to reel in this lure isn't easy at all but I've been managing. I've found this baitcaster in my neighbors garage and was wondering if it's worth trying to buy from him and how much I should offer? Take in mind I'm 15 and have limited income. If its not worth it, anybody know of or have a reel that is cheap but will work? Thanks a ton! It's a KMART brand and on the insignia says 330.. Anyone familiar? I'll post a picture in a minute
  20. Me and my buddy being 15 bought 100lures for 70$ from a Japanese warehouse.. It's really a hit or miss, some of the lures I'm in love with, others are worth absolutely nothing.. Gary Yamamoto crankbaits are 20$ when a KVD is 6$ and they both do and look and swim the same. If buying from an unknown source, just pretty much hope it's what you want! And read the specs hardcore because some might not be scented plastics or might be duds.
  21. If I fill half or a 4th mono and a other braid, will I still have the hookset of a braid and sensitivity?
  22. Is it different casting with braid over mono on a caster? And currently im using a cheaper caster, but I plan to get a abu revo soon, will that make my casting better or different with those switches?
  23. I'm actualy from tomahawk.. But, musky's will be a fun time forsure, but walleye might be a little harder due to the indian reservation and they liking to spear around there. Bass wise, shot in the dark up there. Hope you have a lotta rigs pre set up lol
