  1. I know the saying "you get what you pay for" applies for lots of baits. But what are some plastics that aren't the price of senkos but still are quality and durable at a reasonable price? I've never been a plastic fisherman because of the price if everything I've seen..
  2. Old: want to really get good at fishing jigs this year and get that new PB New (for me): Dean Rojas frogs.. And buzzbaits
  3. Mods please move this to tackle fourum... my mistake..
  4. What's a good brand spinnerbait? I know most people like a trailer hook. Is 14lb fluro a good line for them? What's a few go to colors and brands I can get that are quality.. I've used my Walmart ones last year with no success. I just am looking for 1-3 that will help improve my amount of fish I catch...
  5. St Croix is quality, but I couldn't see getting a rod worth that much.. I'm using a Tackle Industries XXh 4-12oz rod and for 90% of people I think that does the trick.. Unless you have a bulldawg obsession with pounders..
  6. Just watched a good video on youtube of B.A.S.S Series Angler Ish Monroe punching matts and some thick stuff on the California Delta. He was using his 1.5oz tungsten weight and punching skirt and a plastic texas rigged.. My question is.. instead of going and buying all punching gear and a new rod, can I throw a 3/4 oz or 1 oz jig into this cover and get it through there and catch some? Or is the weed guard not going to protect it well enough and just give me more slop on the end of my line.. Thanks for any help/tips
  7. Spinning rods and senkos, thats what got me hooked into this whole bass fishing scene. Goodluck and hold on because you never know when the big one is about to hit!
  8. Those are a lot of sweet rods and reels!!
  9. Always produces... Never can fish to slow
  10. I've rode my bike down roads that are 45 mph with a 6'6" rod in my hand and tackle box in the other to a small lake. I've also fit 8ft muskie rods in a 4 door car from the passenger seat to the back window. Go 1 piece, you can always find a way to move it around.
  11. Spoons (Daredevil) or Rapala Glidin' rap
  12. Will this be in the flea market or the tackle section? I'll gladly post..
  13. My matzuo 4" suspending jerkbait in orange tiger.. I've caught panfish, walleye, bass, and pike on it. It just always provides..
  14. I saw a YouTube video about ways to improve your bass fishing with KVD, one of the five things he said in the interview was "to learn how to use swimbaits. They're taking the elite series by storm and they outright catch fish." Enough to make me think about trying some..
  15. I like the idea.. It seems as aglers we like more baits than we need and always have extras and always have new stuff we want.. Great idea, Cole
  16. I paid 130 for my musky net.. It's also ment to hold 50" fish in it though...
  17. You can never have to many plastics and hooks...
  18. x2 Always am carrying toothpicks to get the sandwich out of my teeth and to peg weights.
  19. I always liked a "Hot Mustard" color with that brownish yellow. Just ripping them through grass, or yo'yo ing
  20. Haha, whitewater has a sweet team to! Where are you located? I'm closer to point. I'm a little north of Wausau.
  21. I know I'm only 15 1/2 but I really love the fishing atmosphere and would love to fish on a college team. But don't know much about them.. I'm looking to get into University of Stevens Point (Wisconsin) and be one of the team members. What does it take to become a college angler? Do you make a resume? Portfolio of pictures? I know I have a ways to go, I'm just looking for goals to shoot for. Thanks a ton, Cole
  22. When fishing from the bank on very high pressured lakes the key is to fish baits the fish haven't seen. If everyone's throwing a green pumpkin work, throw a red one or even pink. Just that slight difference can cause a bass to bite. My favorite shore fishing baits are.. 1.) weightless wacky rigged worms 2.) small spinnerbaits 3.) pop'rs 4.) mepps #3 's
  23. I'd love to have even one of those bags haha. Rage products outright catch fish
