I've been currently very sick so haven't been able to get out fishing but I was told the bass are very lethargic and hard to catch. The water temp is 46 degrees. What are some good techniques to catch them on lipless or lipped crankbaits? What retrieves and speeds? Thanks for the help!

Right now I'm using berkey vanish FC and I've heard nothing but bad reviews on it.. I have a 4ft leader on my jig rod of 14# test and I'm afraid I'm going to lose my jigs with it. I'm fishing 1/2oz Siebert Outdoors "Big O" jigs and 1/2 oz swim jigs.. What # test do you think I should buy? I'm fishing <12 FOW or less pitching docks and lay downs. Thanks for the advice!

Tackle Industries makes great rods... I have a XXH 8' (3-12oz) paired with a Abu Garcia Revo Toro Winch 60.. Spent 70 on the rod from James the owner of TI and the reel 200 used and shipped with less than 10 hours on it..

x2 here in northern Wisconsin we call it redhorse grabbing. In the night you lay on the rocks and look for them hiding behind them and try to grab them right behind the gills.. Crazy fun friday night..

I always just put electrical tape on the spool before braid, so it digs into the tape..

Is a fluke a good cold water bait? I bought a pack in white ice color with 4/0 EWG gammy hooks and was wondering if it would be a waste or not to try then out in this 44 degree water. Can these catch smallies too? The super fluke JR..

Anyone ever use the casting version of these? For the money they sure look good to my eye. I'm looking for the 7'2" version MH for half oz jigs. Would this be a good rod? Is there good sensitivity? What does everyone think of these rods?

Should I get a okuma reflexion rod 7' MH/F for 60 on TW Fenwick HMX rod 7' MH/ MF for 90 on TW Any thoughts or preferences? Is MF to much bend for 1/2 oz jigs?

I'm a novice jig angler and if I really like this rod I might end up getting it from TW.. It's rated for 3/8th-1-1/4th oz. Anybody ever use one of these rods? For 60 bucks are they to good to be true?
