  1. I'm just getting into flipping and pitching soft plastics, when do you use each of these?
  2. Don't make a decision of yes or no because of micro guides. I don't tell any difference with or without them. Besides that little amout of weight.
  3. I bought the 7'2" diesel earlier this season and I love it, I use it as a all purpose rod. Is the 7'6" just as good? I plan on using it for pitching and flipping only. Any opinions?
  4. When in doubt just trying to catch some fish, try a mepps inline spinner or a daredevil spoon
  5. Is a 5/0 hook on a 1/4 or 3/16 oz weight total overkill?
  6. I wish I would have bought that size now... Now that's another 7$ lol
  7. That makes sense. What are the punching capibilities of 1/2oz weight on it? I've consistently caught fish of these docks the last 2 days..
  8. Just got into pitching t-rigs instead of just jigs. Throwing a 1/2oz tungsten, 5/0vmc hook, and a pit boss on 50lb braid to docks, and I just can't get bit. I don't know if the braid is to visible or I just haven't gave it enough time.. Any ideas why I'm not getting bit?
  9. Float N Fly and float n senko. Deadly!!'
  10. I don't have any bass size walk the dog baits but seeing other people like them and have success I might have to buy a few!
  11. Honest to God, here in northen Wisconsin in musky infested waters. I've seen bigger bass attack one of these.. Take in mind two #10 blades, these aren't twice the size of a mepps 5, they are massive! http://www.muskymayhemtackle.com/Product-DoubleCowgirl.aspx
  12. One day ill boat a 50".. I've been raising lots of fish on single #8 bucktails. Caught a small one on a soft tail glider a few days ago. My musky season hasn't been incredible but I love knowing any cast could be the wall hanger.
  13. Here's a 35" that I caught last week. By far not a giant in Wisconsin. I've seen the 50" fish, but never caught one...
  14. Was fishing for musky last night, calm lake and the bucktail just wasn't producing. Found a big 7" walk the dog bait and threw it by the dock. Never used one before, I got the thing to walk back and forth then I saw a huge splash and reeled in like heck on my 8ft Heavy Fenwick ET rod this. I think I found my new bass presentation that I want to try.
  15. Any skeet Reese's out there? He takes matching to a crazy level. I call him bumble bee
  16. What's the point of this line? Why would you want fish to see your line? I see this yellow line and now ghost white too. Maybe I'm just missing something...
  17. Any treble hooks you don't want ill take off your hands.
  18. X2!! I will rip through everything I have and waste no time on the water te organizing. That's what the night is for.
  19. Colors are the question always, some people say light colors in clear water? But if everyone's throwing that maybe the bass want a black worm instead?? The feel of a bite is something that comes with time.
  20. What are you looking for help with? Bass fishing I found to be one or the most expensive and endless things out there: there are rigs, poles, reels, lines, baits, lures, scents, glasses, ect that are endless. If you are new to bass fishing my biggest tip to you is YOU DON'T NEED EVERY BAIT YOU SEE ON TV THAT CATCHES A FISH. That's how I thought It was and I spend way to much money on things that I don't use. Find what types of baits and techniques you use and become proficient at those. A lot of people say bass fishing is all about you ability to adapt to conditions which I agree with, but don't go out and spend 500 on a loomis drop shot rod to find you don't like drop shot or they don't work well in the waters you fish. Glad to see you entered the BR family and welcome. Hope to see some good replies of fish you caught.
  21. I'm almost 16 and in the last year I spent every pay check I could on bass fishing stuff on every part I could. I wish I could re do it. Just go slow, you can only fish 1 bait at a time you don't need 300 to catch fish. Fish the techniques and baits you have confidence in, don't buy 200$ in drop shot setups and weights if your not goin to use it.
