I get an awful look when I throw back fish here in Korea. They hate bass so much that they would throw it in the grass and let it die.

does it hurt to hold a fish that big by the jaw like that? I never thought that you could get a fish that big from shore.

What are you fishing for with #65lb line?

I have two Veritas with more to come in the future with two Pro max reels. I trying to upgrade in reels but so far they are doing their jobs just fine. Abu Garcia for life.

I guess in really clear water where bass might see the red, but in less visible water I don't think it makes a difference.

If it moves or look alive then it's fair game to eat. Look at us humans. We can eat anything we want and spit out what doesn't taste so good. The fish that I had in my feed tank would investigate anything that looks close to food. They would suck it up taste it and spit it out if it's not edible or taste bad. Bass do it to our lures also, that's why we have to set the hook right before they spit it out. If a worm/lure is the same or close to the color of foliage around it then the bass will most likely stare it down to see if it moves. Think about when we are hunting, we will stare at our prey and confirm before taking the shot. Spiders even do this, throw a bug in the web that's not very active and watch the spider shake the web to force out a reaction. Maybe c-rigs is suppose to look like a leech swimming mid column and a wacky rig a dying struggling fish or again something swimming mid column. All the fish knows is that it's moving and creating vibrations which is triggering the lateral line of the bass.

I think bass rest when they are laying on the bottom waiting to ambush prey. That could be their time to rest/sleep while keeping an eye out for food.

No Sir, they are very active at night time hunting in the shallows for bait fish, worms, and other creatures. I fished saturday night and they were all around me slaming the top water for whatever was unlucky enough to be near the surface. I think they find some time to rest whenever them get tired.

They put blue dye in it but it's clear? Is it slighty blue but still clear? I would a natural color if it is still "clear" or a darker color if it's a darker blue. The water I fish is stained green due to algae and I use a darker color.

Get a black Jitterbug!!! Those things work wonders!! Also bring bug spray and a flashlight or a headlamp. I would only use the light source when needed as the bugs will flock to you like white on rice and a glass of milk on a paper plate in a snow storm. I found this out the hard way after being swarmed every time I turned the lights on. There should be enough natural light out also. Enjoy the night fishing.

it's just one of those thjngs that happens. maybe it happens when there is too much of a delay betwwen bite and hook set

Plants do use O2 at night time though instead of Co2.

Too hot of water could be killing the plants. I would say that the O2 levels is dropping because of the plant decay.

I added tube rattles in one of my frogs to make a bunch of noise to catch the attention of any stalkers around.

Reaction Innovation's Sweet Beaver in black/red flake worked well for me. I have the Kinky beaver but haven't been able to catch anything off of it yet as it has been too hot.

Well I guess this post answer my question. i fish a man made reservoir that most likely have no crawfish in it.

Hello everyone I stated in the titile that I was from everywhere becuase I'm a member in the military and I change locations a lot(about every two years). I haven't been fishing freshwater fish all that long as I started this year. I normally targeted fish of the Gulf of Mexico when I was still home. I also haven't had the chance to catch many fish here in Korea because there aren't too big on fishing so it's hard to find a spot. When i do find a spot they try to stop me or get mad when I throw the fish back. Hopefully I get better chance at my next base in Washingston State.
