  1. Love the red eye shad...don't feel the need to use any other lipless
  2. Check out this video demonstrating what SI shows in the water.
  3. Noob here wanting to ask a question about which depth finder to purchase. I have a 16ft Lund that I wanted to install a depth finder on. Planned on buying a Humminbird 597ci HD di but have been investigating other HB models and became interested in the 788ci hd di. I can get the 788 for $650 and the 597 for $580. Is the 788 worth the extra $70? Thanks for any suggestions you can offer. Oh, another reason I was thinking about the 788 is that I also wanted to eventually get an Terrova ipilot trolling motor. The new ipilot seems interesting since you can set waypoints on the HB and iPilot will take you there. Unfortunately the waypoint feature won't work with a 597
  4. Too bad it'll only work for the 700 series and above. I just bought a 597 and setting the waypoints won't work using that finder.
  5. I have the Rod Glove Casting Pro. It's made out of a nice neoprene and does protect the rod well. Only negative is that it is heavy and can really weigh on the tip of a pole. I probably wouldn't recommend it unless you have a stiff fishing pole. Would probably recommend the standard rod glove instead.
  6. Sorry a noob here but can iPilot be added to any Minn Kota motor or only specific ones? Looking for a trolling motor and if this thing is truly autopilot I would like to get something that either comes with it or that it can be added to at a later date.
  7. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I'm sure St. Croix will take care of you. I have a Legend Elite and love the rod.
  8. They're great rods for the price. I don't have one but fished extensively using my brother in law's and it is very light and sensitive. Would definitely recommend.
  9. Yeah!! Don't mess with granny
  10. Looks like you had fun. Where I am in WI, most of the large mouth are 3lbs or less. I would've loved to have a day like yours.
