Stinky Bass?
Started fishing a local pond about a month ago. No pressure so the fishing is always good. I noticed last time was there one of the bass I caught smelled TERRIBLE. We all know and love the "bass smell" but I couldn't wait to get this one back in the water. As for the pond itself it seems healthy, lots of vegitation and I could see some fry swimming around. It wasn't just that fish though, almost all I caught that day just smelled "off". Not like sewage or anything like that, in fact I can't really describe the smell. Anyway just curious if anyone has any similar experience or knowledge of what might have caused it. Thanks guys!

Daiwa Vs. Abu
I bought a Laguna about a week ago and have fished it around 12 hours so far and I am VERY impressed. I also have a Abu promax that I loved but this diawa is something else.

Kayak Pants
Thanks guys, im also in the " I hate the feel of lotion club. " so sunscreen is out, same feeling for bug spray. I figure if I can get some good pants and an airy long sleeve I should be good. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Kayak Pants
Hey guys, ever since owning my kayak I've always worn shorts because it gets so hot. Well last week I went fishing for around 6 hours and my legs are completely eaten up by bugs. Could anyone put me in the direction of a good quick dry pants but also one that's made for warm weather? All I was able to find was cold weather pants. Thanks!

Bass Fishing On A Kayak?
Agreed with everything said above, another advantage is you don't lose nearly as much tackle when your able to get to it easier. Not to mention there is nothing like hitting the backwaters where big boats can't go. Its a great investment IMO.

Pairing Ideas?
Today I scored an unbelievable deal on a falcon bucoo casting rod. So much so I almost feel bad for getting it so cheap. Anyway im wanting to pair it with a decent reel. Im not brand specific but would Like to stay in the 50-100 range. I wasn't planning on buying another rod but no way I could pass it up. Thanks guys, BTW this is gonna be an "everything" setup. Not presentation specific.

Keeping A Trophy Fish
Well that's the kicker of the story, Im a minimalist when it comes to fishing, 1 rod and reel, small Plano in my pocket and and scale in hopes of needing it. I leave my phone locked in my car because I don't get service where I fish anyway. My buddy who was with me is old skool so no camera phone. All I have is his verification to the story and a great memory do that's good enough for me. thanks again guys for the comments and opinions.

Fishing Cooler?
Sorry I thought I had put kayak, anyway I thought a cooler would be more productive than a crate since you can carry more, has a lid, that sorta thing. Maybe im wrong, I just was wondering if anyone ever rigged one up.

Keeping A Trophy Fish
Fish, I agree 100%. I hope someone else has a chance at it one day. I don't hold a grudge if somone was to keep it. I just feel like if I did id be taking a truly special catch out of existence lol. I know it sounds weird I just think around here in small ponds she was a monster, and id feel better knowing she's still out there.

Keeping A Trophy Fish
I hear ya, I gotta admit I kinda feel like that was my "once in a lifetime fish". I caught her in a pond that'd only about 2 acres big. So its not like I couldn't do it again.

Keeping A Trophy Fish
Yesterday was a great day for me, I consistsntly caught decent fish all day long, at the end of the day I noticed a very big female tucked up against the bank. I tossed a chatterbait past her and slow rolled it back to me, on the sencond cast she slammed it. I barley got her on the bank, I really could have used a net. After weighing her she was 11.6lbs. My new PB, my buddy was as excited as I was and was adiment about me keeping it, im a strict catch and release angler. My question is, how big would a fish have to be before you would keep it?I've been fishing seriously for about 8 years and have never had a double digit bass. But even so I think I would have felt bad keeping her. Thanks!

Fishing Cooler?
Im thinking instead of a crate I want to add on to a cooler. Rod holders, tools that sort of thing. Would also like to figure a way to have somthing hold my Plano boxes also. Anybody use a cooler as apposed to a crate?

Ideal Smallmouth Setup?
Hey guys, so I decided today was the day to try for my first smallmouth. I went to a little creek a few miles from my house and went wading for a bit, after about an hour I scored my first smallie. It was a little Guy, maybe 10 or 11 inches long, but he fought like a prizefighter, all in all he lived up to the hype. So now im officialy hooked on creek/river fishing. But I don't have the slightest clue about what rig to buy. Today I borrowed my buddy's. 5' microlight rod and reel setup, as fun as it was I dont know how ideal that rig would be. So what is a decently priced rod reel combo I could use to walk a few miles of backwater and get to more of those guys? I like specifics also, rod reel line ect. Thanks guys!

Acend Fs128T Kayak
Honestly the seat in it highest position there isn't really a need to stand all the time. I don't think you will regret it. Its a contender with the major brands for sure.
