As I mentioned in a post a while back, I am completely new to soft plastics. My question is, I bought some bass pro tournament lizards to use in a local pond, when I Texas rigged them the whole body spins when I retrieve them back to me, that's both weightless and with a bullet weight. Any suggestions? Thanks guys

Waking up at 5am with my grandpa to go trout fishing when I was little. In fact, that's how I learned my colors, I would just sit there and name all the colors of his tackle. Never stopped loving it sense.

As the title says I've never used plastics before at all, I tried my very first t rig last night and it looked terrible. Gonna have to work on it for sure My question is, when retrieving do you keep your rod tip high or low? Any sideways jerking motion? Please understand I am a COMPLETE beginner when it comes to plastic so any info would help. Thanks again guys!

Thank you for your intimate wisdom fishing God, why didn't I ever think to do that? My post was more pertaining to the fact that this pond may just be a cows bathtub. Is there anyway to see if a fish could sustain life in a pond where fresh water isn't fed to it.

Okay so today I woke up and Google earthed some ponds close to my house. I then went in search of said ponds. I found a few, but my question is, these look like ponds in the middle of cow pastures. Any tips to see if maybe there is any fish in them? No springs or creeks feeding them, just big holes of water. I don't want to waste time if I can help it. Any suggestions?

I fish Douglas lake at least four times a week and I completely agree, its ridiculous how much the water levels change from hour to hour. Sometimes you can get fish after fish and sometimes I've spent all week just looking for a bite.

Yeah it turns with no problem forward and backward. Its a cheapo phluger, so I'm not out but $20.00. Just stinks I got a broken reel.

So I bought a phluger baitcaster off craigslist. I had to work so I sent my wife to pick it up. Long story short the anti reverse is broken. Is there anyway to fix it or should l chalk this one up to lesson learned? Thanks guys!

Unfortunately its in the back of about 10 or so houses. And what makes it worse is we seem to be the only ones trying to make it better. The landowner was the person who suggested to kill off everything.

Thanks beast for the reply. I was told the only way to cure a overfished pond was to poison it and start new. That sounded a little drastic to me. Thanks again for the info.

My buddy lives on a pond about 1 1/2 acres, its is completely over fished. Neighbors come and fish it daily. So as you can imagine the fish won't bite anything. Is there ANY way to start over? Thanks guys!

Thats just it though, they never really eat it. its almost like a bobber. ive just never had it happen till recently.

Very strane, you expect a big blow up. but its like they surace just to "sniff" it or somthing.

Ever been froggin and have a bass BARELY hit it at all almost like they are floating on top with the frog in its mouth? but never enough to actually set the hook? happend to me twice today.

I too am looking into a fishing kayak. personally i think im going to go with the Ascender 12 sit on top version. for the price it looks pretty legit. and the reviews seem to back it up. good luck!
