  1. Recently i've been slow rolling a chatterbait tipped with a super fluke and been doing really good with it. If you have a chatterbait i'd give it a try, i've been fishing lakes around my house that i haven't had much success catching keepers till i started slow rolling a chatterbait and i've been consistently catching keepers.
  2. Yeah probably the best way to describe the strike is a tap tap, feels totally different then when you sinker hits debris. Theres other times tho you'll feel like your hung up but when you pull you can feel the weight of the fish.
  3. I pretend the plastic bait doesn't exist and concentrate solely on the weight.
  4. I really like c-rigging with all other structure and cover being equal. Main reason I like carolina is that you can cover lots of water and I feel that the carolina rig gives the plastic a more real effect being that its free floating behind the weight. With T-rig you kind of have to fish it slow from my experience atleast if you fish it fast with the weight being so close it restricts the bait and I've never had much experience with it fishing t-rig fast. Example of this was when I fished in a tourney few weeks back I was throwing a c-rig into grass and dragging it really slow on the bottom. At first I wasn't getting any bites, but then on one cast I could feel my weight being hung up. When I loosened it from the grass instead of letting it hit the bottom right away I dragged the weight through the water probably a foot off the bottom, then I got my first bite. So rest of the tourney I would throw the bait and work that carolina rig real fast so the weight would barely touch the bottom and I had great success.
  5. Thank you for the link, all the articles i've read didn't describe the observers account, it does give better insight to the days catch.
  6. Can you show me a link where it says that? All the articles i've read it makes it sound like it was an self omission.
  7. My only question is if he was really after the money and fame of the WR bass why would he openly admit it was snagged. The three friends could state that the fish was legally hooked and there would be no constroversy. Its not the easiest thing to snag with a single pointed hook from a jig, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
  8. Theres a lake like that near my house and they wont bite any lures because the water is so clear. Only way we were able to catch bass eventually was using nightcrawlers to catch small sunfish, then hooking them live as bait. Was great soon as we threw that sucker in the water 4-5 large bass just cruised up on it and one of the bass crashed it, probably the neatest thing i've seen.
