  1. Light or ultra light are my favorite rods for panfishing......live bait: crickets, nightcrawlers.......artificial: Rebel Crickhopper Popper and any small cranks...
  2. 10"+ is a trophy.....but they do get bigger.....
  3. Little shy of a pound.....nice fish!
  4. Rapala Shad Rap divers have done me well lately.....spinnerbaits too.....I love the grubs with jigheads too but you'll snag more, it seems....
  5. Lately, all I've thrown is Rapala Cranks.....but I do also use, inline spinners and regular spinnerbaits.....jigheads and grubs have been great too but I snag a lot......
  6. Crappie usually don't bite nightcrawlers very readily.....not in my neck of the woods anyway....live minnows under a cork is the best and fastest and simplest way in my opinion if you're wanting to use live bait....
  7. Went again and found this rainbow.....
  8. Lately, a rapala crank has been great for me....jointed....
  9. Mini king spinnerbaits, grubs, Rapala cranks, panther martins
  10. Didn't have long this evening but I went wading for a little over an hour....only hit I got was this football shaped chunk! Hit a jointed crank no more than 6ft from my feet, and it hit it like a TRAIN!! This smallie bent my medium action rod like NO largemouth ever has....
  11. Awesome fish....
  12. Live minnows under a cork....roadrunners....Bobby Garland's Baby Shad are great under a cork also!
  13. Good bait..i just hook it through once with a lite wire hook a couple feet under a cork....no problems...
  14. Most importantly, keep plugging away.....a big fish will eat a medium-large sized bait....keep at it with persistence and you'll get your trophy....
  15. I wouldn't be disappointed with either outcome simply because we've all had those days where we couldn't pay a fish to bite.....but the bigger fish always make better memories and tend to build more excitement while trying to land them.....feel the rush baby!!
  16. Live bait: nightcrawlers & crickets Artificials: jigs under a float or without, small cranks and small topwater lures....
  17. Bluegill, crappie, redear......they're all delicious....
  18. Bluegill will hit anything that you throw at some point in time....
  19. Smallies will hit most anything a largemouth will.....I'm not sure about the spawn as far as smallies go though....I've only caught them in rivers.....
  20. NC 3ft +- Black Spinnerbait/silverblades (strike king) Wood brush cover 8lbs/24" This is the fish in my avatar.....
  21. Probably a rock bass..and a very nice one at that.....rock bass and warmouth are different species....
  22. Basically everything goes on the backburner, especially this time of year....actually I don't even think my backburner stays warm right now.......
  23. Your buddy in the background looks like he's really determined to get a lunker..... Nice job dude.....
