I said micro, only because they are easier to fit in my rod sleeves and give the rod a little cleaner look. All that distance/accuracy hype associated with micros I feel is just marketing.

I Ordered 2 rods at a time from TW that came in the same tube and they were packaged great. Walmart.com also packages rods about as good as TW which was surprising. I will not order anymore rods from amazon though.

I usually keep my most used baits all in one box so I don't have to mess with it out on the water. All of my other cranks, jigs etc are all together. The stuff in this particular box is new stuff I haven't had a chance to fish with much yet, and stuff I picked up over the winter and at BPS over the weekend. If the weather cooperates this week hopefully some of that shine will be gone. And I'm concerned that someone mistook a booyah boogee bait for a RES lol.

I have an old Rapala jerk bait that was my dad's, but in comparison to my others it's quite a bit bigger. I posted a comparison pic so you can see how big it is. Should I even bother fishing this?

I don't use the mags at all, and I only only have 2 of the spring loaded brakes engaged. Works well that way, especially for heavier baits.

Skeet Reese designed the Sick Fish, and Whoopee Goldberg designed this jig. Just so we are clear this is SARCASM. I did have a look at their spinner baits, and those beads would really get some good sound and vibration going.

I use Gammy swimbait hooks and never had a problem at all with them. I think the brand of hook matters very little nowadays, as almost all of them will get the job done.

I just think it's absurd that Skeet is saying he made the bait. I know it's all a marketing gimmick, but still. I know Berkley owns the rights to the bait, and that LC is still able to make and sell them, but saying YOU designed a bait that's been out for years is asking to be called out IMO. Skeet is a tool anyway, so I'd expect nothing less. Wonder if I could paint one of my Red Eye Shad and say I designed the bait???

I never really fished in cold water either, but our lake is ridiculously tough to fish in the summer, so I couldn't pass up the cold water bite. Just got some Smithwick deep Rogues, and a regular Rogue that I'm gonna fish this week. I'm also thinking of going back to BPS and picking up some Xcalibur EEratic Shad that are on sale right now.

If you get a micro guide Veritas, and I speak from experience, go to the store and buy it. The guides on the micro version are really a mixed bag, as some rods have nice straight guides, and others will have laughably bad guide placement and centering. Another problem with the Veritas guides is the expoxy around them is sometimes cracked. So just make sure you give it a once over before you plunk down the cash. It's a d**n fine rod for the money though, it just has some head scratching QC problems.

No problems with my tension cap. I did have that issue on my Gen 2 SX though. The STX is a great reel, can't say enough about it.

I really llke my MH Veritas. Great feel and sensitivity for the price.

Lol. I remember him hooking a huge bass and getting it hung up under the boat and having a melt down. He kicked the trolling motor, cussed, ended up freeing the fish, rips his jersey off WHILE lipping the bass lol. My wife watched that video and was like wow, are you related? Lol.
