  1. No issue with my veritas reel seat. My revo s wont budge.
  2. You have the gen 3? I have one but I've yet to fish with it. Still debating on what rod to get for it.
  3. Revo S gen 3 gets my vote. For $129 it's a steal.
  4. Rod sleeves/socks are a must, as well as reel covers. I stopped using a lure wrap in favor of Owner treble hook safety caps. Quick and easy to take on and off.
  5. I may pick one up and see how it fares. I've got a ton of SK red eye shad in my box and those are big producers for me right now, so I'll have to force myself to tie on a thin fin.
  6. So between the Veritas and the Bucoo micro, which one is better? I've got the Veritas and I love it, but every time I see a Falcon Bucoo micro at Wally world it calls my name.
  7. I use a 7 footer, but a 7'2 would be nice.
  8. Does anyone use the storm thin fins? I've seen them at bps bit wasn't sure if they were good baits.
  9. I've had my Black Max 2 for close to 2 years with no issues. Is it a cheap reel? Yeah, but I wouldnt say its disposable.
  10. I don't keep any gear in my truck or boat. Theft, and moisture are the biggest worries for my gear.
  11. I recommend academy's h20 xpress lipless cranks. They are very nice and reasonable compared to other brands. You just can't beat the red eye shad or the xcalibur xrk50s though.
  12. What color do you recommend? Is yo zuri less visible than mono?
  13. Geez....no one ever answered my question though RW. Why buy 2 spools of line without researching my purchase? No one has answered whether or not ultra soft is more manageable than regular. If they did, I wouldn't have asked again.
  14. The Anacondas are awesome.
  15. I may have to try that. Thanks rock.
  16. I just don't like how mono absorbs water. And you're right. I think 10# in the hybrid would be the way to go treated with some KVD. I just want a decently manageable line that doesn't absorb water. Thanks for the reply. I appreciate any and all help I can get deciding on what to switch to.
  17. Mono's weakness is that it absorbs water which weakens it. Also plumps up the line and affects cast-ability some in my experience.
  18. I have a couple of chatterbaits, but my favorite one so far is the one that was given to me. I didn't have any luck with it as it came out of the package, but I took off the Elaztech frog leg trailer and put on a green pumpkin chartreuse swimming chunk on it and bam....lit them up all day yesterday on it. Great bait.
  19. All I want to know about this stuff is this: Is the Ultra Soft much more manageable than the regular Hybrid? I know Ultra Soft was created for spinning gear, but I know others use this stuff on casting reels. I use Trilene XL 12# on my bcs now, and I want line that is close to it's manageability. So again, will the Ultra Soft be the way to go??
  20. 10# is what I'm leaning towards, since it's diameter is close to the diameter of 12# XL. Just a tad smaller and rated at a higher breakage strength than typical 10# line.
  21. I have one spinning reel, and it's relegated to light lures/finesse fishing. Feels so weird after using my BCs 99% of the time, but I've caught some nice fish on my spinner.
  22. Main reason for me wanting to try fluoro or a copolymer, is that those lines don't absorb water.
  23. Smoky Shad and Silver Bling would be awesome colors for these baits. Two of my favorites for the Rage Shad.
  24. I have the Trio spinning reel and it's amazing. We might be the only two Okuma fans here.
