Yeah i know apple has the proprietary stuff but i haven't had an issue with the other devices and wanting to use something else. Also i should have stated too that i have used for work many other brands as well and my Dell has actually served me pretty well over the years. I also really like the portability and size of the mac as i ride my bike with mine semi-regularly and for other laptops of similar size, the price difference is nearly as much. I am also really a big fan of solid state drives. Hopefully i will be as pleased with it as i have everythign else from Apple

Mac. So since i started taking online classes it has become painfully obvious that my 4 year old Dell laptop isn't up to snuff for anything other screwing around on message boards and general computer use. Given that all of my classes are online and require a good bit of multimedia type presentations i decided it was time to get a new one. I have been wanting to make the transition over to Apple products and have, slowly and now in our house we have 3 iPhones, 3 ipods an ipad and in a week or so we should have a MacBook air and the Airport time capsule. It was hard to lay down that kind of coin on a laptop when i could get a top of the line <insert PC brand name here> for less money but all the reviews both online and from friends said to do it and you won't regret it... I sure hope they are right....

And be stealthy. Judging by that pic it looks pretty clear and small so the fish will see and feel you coming. It looks picture perfect for a nice rabbit hair fly thrown in and tumbled through the fast water into the slower slack water.

I forgot about swim jigs, they have worked well for me too. A swim jig is like a finesse spinnerbait. Just enough thump, depending on the trailer to get noticed but not overly flashy and noisy to warrant a second guess on whether to hit it or not.

Reaction baits are jsut that, a reaction to something coming by their heads. Now you probably can't go splatting your lure down on top of their head like you can in more stained water but you can definitely do well with reaction type baits in clear water. I haven't had success with the bright flashier colors but the more muted natural color cranks have performed well for me.

Fishing from my kayak hasn't dictated any of my rod length purchases. I think the majority of people's concerns are more with rod storage and not hitting them while casting or fighting fish. It is just one of those things you get used to. In my commander i usually have 3-4 rods layed out in front of me with tips up on the front support. I also have two ram mounts that i can have pretty much parallel to the top of the boat which keeps them out of the way as well. THis has worked for me from 6' conventinal up to 9' fly tackle.

I still think the WC team is not as much of a disadvantage to the division winner. Yeah they burn their starter which is fine but they still only need to win a 5 game series which given they will be on an emotional high after winning hte play in and then playing a team that hasn't pl;ayed in a week puts them at an advantage. I still think if they keep a 5 game series then it should be 4 at the division winner and one at the WC team in a 2-1-2 format or move them all to a 7 game series. To many weird things can happen when a team only has to win 3 games to advance.

Anyone suspended for PED use should be out for the playoffs even if their suspension has been served.

One game playoffs are dumb but whoever plays the wild card team could benefit if it is either the rangers or rays since they will have most likely burned their #1 & #2 starters.

The chief's defense is for real. It also doesn't hurt two of their wins came against teams Andy Reid played against for 14 seasons...and the eagles are hanging in there with the broncos and actually outplaying them on pretty much all counts except special teams.

I would research the laws because if my memory serves me right, it is not a cheap fine if you get caught and ticketed. It is also a pretty easy thing to see...someone using a trolling motor on a boat with no registration numbers visible. This gives probably cause and who knows what else could happen at that point. Most states have the ability to register a boat with no title as long as there is a bill of sale involved.

My dad just came back from there and had a good trip. It was his first trip out there and he was targeting stripers and trolling mostly. Not sure if that helps.....

Fish the same way you would from the bank just cast towards the bank instead of out from it. Also, get a little used to the kaya kbefore yo ustart fishing real hard.

Anytime a family is coming out with kids it trumps my desire to fish....i would find another spot myself or turn it into an opportunity to help with the kids and maybe educate them a little on C&R or just make sure the kids have a good time.

you did the right thing. Go in get your check and if you really want to tick them off be extremely nice and smile nothing gets under the skin of someone more than someone who appears completely happy about getting their last check....
