Can anyone explain how the Phillies get shellacked at home by the marlins and then go into the reigning Worlde Series Champs and win 2 in a row? I think this is what makes me so mad, the team can win and has talent but just doesn't in situations it should. Way more frustrating then a team you know is bad and should lose and wins are a bonus...

Not total garbage. Any time you add in additiona lsteps to any process you increase the chances for failure. So while switching hands may create minimal fail points you still have more than someone who doesn't switch hands. Most of my fishing friends use LH retrieve for spinning and RH retrieve for baitcasting.

Kyle Kendrick from the phillies has been pitching very very well this season, especially for a 4th starter.....sorry i am a baseball fan but know more about the phillies than other teams.

I haven't been out with this set up yet but if I did it again I wouldn't mind having a U Shaped bracket for the bottom that would hold the transducer but without a metal bender I wasn't able to bend the aluminum enough to make it work. I could have heated it up I guess but I was to lazy to dig out the propane torch. Hopefully I can get out this weekend to test it out and I will report back on its effectiveness.

Well stated but unless the money they would be using to change the name is already allocated to the things you mentioned then really it is a moot point. My point was more along the lines that we value the wrong things as a society, myself included, to the point of not helping when we could. I mean I made sure my son left the hospital when he was born had a phillies shirt on and a Westbrook jersey soon thereafter. I also agree we have become to soft in certain areas and way to lenient in others to the detriment of a lot of good that could be done. My thing with racism is many times people who perpetrate the stereotypes don't even realize it and that it is ok and maybe this is something to consider. The other thing is we all know if they change the name it wouldn't matter anyways we would all still know them as the redskins

I guess really people shouldn't be upset because it isn't ike we just came over and kicked all the native americans out of their land so why not just leave a name that they may find offensive on the jerseys and even better profit from it too!!! that is the american way..... I have no dog in this fight but human rights issues are important and if people think this is making america soft then so be it, there are a lot of things that were said and done 50 years ago that we don't say or do now and that is a very good thing. While it pains me to say that the Redskins have had a pretty successfull run in the NFL you cannot deny that the term Redskin was not created as a tearm of endearment.

One thing i think a lot of people are missing is that being offended by a racist term is not as easily understood unless you are the one it is being used against. Bottom line is if people were as concerned with education in this country as they are about say sports or the name of a sport's team, we would be much better off.... And using the DoDo bird would not be dishonorable, it would be a tribute, much like the newly named New Orleans Pelicans. Oh and the deadskins have been around for a looooong time, even when they were winning

There are a bunch of online tournaments for kayak fisherman using "CPR" Catch photograph and release. I would think using weight based tournaments would be somewhat difficult to manage since all scales are a little different and weight can be more easily manipulated than can a photo showing the length on a n approved measuring device.

I wish I could take credit for the ingenuity involved but i did see it on a texas kayak forum. I just like that I don't have to worry about hitting it on stuff and it will spring back into place .

Pickerel seem to love buzz baits. I had a banner day fishing in november a year or so ago when the bass bite was slow but i couldn't keep the pickerel off the buzz bait. I stopped counting at 20 and i know for a fact i caught the same fish more than once in the same set of lilly pads.

So I went ahead and redid my antenna spring transducer mount today. Pretty simple basically two L shaped pieces of aluminum, a light duty cb antenna spring and the appropriate screws and bolts to hold everything together. The last one I did I didn't have the right materials but I made it work for a little while so this time I did it a little more sturdy. I just wish I had a metal brake so I could make some sharper bends but it should more than get the job done.

Another thing to consider is North Star is catching up and a few weeks out on orders so think about that as you make your plans....I ordered some of the big o brush heads and used them for the first time yesterday and they were pretty amazing for a newbie jig fisherman like myself.

Same here....you fish where they stock trout during trout season you need the stamp even if you aren't targeting them.

Here in va they stock a lot of trout and there is a special stamp required. The one caveat is you only need the stamp for part of the year, oct-april I think. Trout are also pretty expensive to stock at a few dollars a fish as opposed to bass and other fish which are considerably cheaper.

I have caught both smallies and largemouth on Flukes in water temps of 42 and up to whatever summer temps are. Slow down and you will be fine.

Catfish are pretty voracious predators actually. I have caught them on crankbaits, flukes, top waters and spinnerbaits and e very time I think I have a double digit bass Good catch!!!!

I have been having good success in the grass with swim jigs and also money minnows on a weighted screw lock hook that i then slather up with some bio edge wand scent that seems to help them slide through cover better.
