  1. I'm a 5'8 junior, we do have a couple kids who can dunk though... If I continue to work out a grow a couple of inches I may be able to...
  2. Our basketball program in our town has been having us do the Mikan drill since 7th grade...
  3. Our lacrosse team only graduated one senior last year and he was on our 3 line so hopefully we have a pretty good season...
  4. Basketball, and indoor lacrosse...
  5. WOW I thought the 7lbs 6oz was going to be the pig! When I catch a 7 I am going to be pumped, you and Shane catch these 7.5lbs bass all the time!! I was not expecting to see a 9 pounder!!!
  6. Braid is the best choice for frog fishing- braid will float, has no stretch, and can handle HEAVY cover... Fluoro VS. Mono.... Although fluoro has less stretch, the line will sink, making it harder to work the frog and more importantly to set the hook on the fish. Whereas mono will float and you can work the frog well, mono does stretch though, so you gotta make sure that frog get INHALED then you can wack 'em... If you are going to throw mono I would go with 15 or 17lbs... Sometimes you just gotta work with what you got... Hope this helped
  7. What type of frogs are they? And is that a 3.75" weedless huddleston?
  8. Rods are more important.. Upgrade the rod first...
  9. Mine was caught on a 3/8oz green pumpkin jig with a rage baby craw on it... 1.6lbs I don't know if this counts but I caught my PB smallmouth on a 3/4oz football head with spider jig trailer... First smallie on a jig (if it counts)
  10. Depends on the situation... They fish totally different, a hard jerkbait can suspend making it a key choice in some situations. The soft jerkbaits have their pros over the hard jerkbaits in certain situations too.
  11. 1 piece 100%, unless transportation is making it so you CANNOT carry 1 piece rods...
  12. What exactly is fizzing? Does it have to do with the sudden change of depth for the fish? Never heard of it...
  13. I saw the photos of your PB in the southern competitions thread,I run the one for the northern guys... Great fish!!!! A great rod for the money is the Abu Garcia Vengeance, it is only $50... I have used the casting rod but I'm sure the spinning rod isjust as good...
  14. Do you target bass? I know some people do, but trout and perch seem to be targeted the most...
  15. Exactly, ice fishing is not fishing... We will have snow and ice on our lakes soon enough, but as soon as the our lakes are ice free in the early spring the competitions will resume, can't wait!
  16. Who wants in Novmber! This will be the final competition of this year for who ever will still be hitting the water. I know I won't be able to get out much if at all this month but we might as well still have a thread for November. New comer's are always welcome! Personally I'm very excited for next year's competitions, hopefully we will get more people to participate and lots of big fish!
  17. Rage craws are definitely my bass magnet bait... Texas rigged and used as a jig trailer are my two favorite ways to use them... I had the best 30min to 1hour of fishing ever with a texas rigged rage craw. It was towards the end of summer and my friend and I wanted to hit a spot that is pretty close to our house, so we said that we would go out for about an hour and be home before dark. So in a short period of time I hooked up with my PB 6lbs 5oz, a 4lbs 14oz, and a 2lbs 9oz, my friend caught a 4lbs 12 oz... That is a solid 4 fish limit for an hour LOL 6lbs 5oz 4lbs 14oz 4lbs 12oz 2lbs 9oz
  18. That's a fine looking bait! What is it?
  19. Yes, not sure how much fishing i'll be able to do but I will get a comp started
  20. I would suggest a screw lock hook or an offset hook so that the soft plastic your are texas rigging is straight, this is most likely your problem...
