  1. Those reels are sooo goood looking, to expensive for me though...
  2. Like others said, use certain types of jigs for certain situations... In my experience with jigs it did take me a little while to get my first fish, and I was doubting the jig. Saying that I couldn't feel the bottom, it doesn't feel right, etc.", but once I got my first jig fish my confidence shot WAY UP and I continued to catch fish on jigs... I have no problem feeling the bottom now (using the same setup as before), and caught bass on them regularly, they are one of my favorite things to throw... It's all in the mind, confidence, just slow down, be confident, and you WILL catch fish.
  3. Here is a bait I fell in love with this year, "flipin the bird"... I caught several 4lbs basss towards the end of the year on this bait, wish I started throwing it earlier!!
  4. Great video A-Jay, thanks for sharing!
  5. I was throwing a jerkbait, hook a 3lbs largemouth... Sit down in my canoe, fish slips out of my hands and the jerkbait goes straight into my leg with the fish flopping around like crazy!!! That ended my fishing day, I was more disappointed about that than my leg...
  6. A-Jay the picture that is now your avatar is AMAZING, really like that photo... I'm talking to my dad tonight about going down there!
  7. Great read and congrats to all of you! I really wanna head down there sometime, I'll convince my dad LOL! Once again great job guys!
  8. That's what I'm talking about! Nice job man!
  9. I fished with the Daiwa Lexa 100 HL this year and loved it, goes for $129... Just picked up a revo stx gen 2, but won't be using it til it warms up... In 4 months...
  10. As far as age goes is their such thing as being "too young", I totally understand if there is. My thought would be that my dad and I would go next year, not sure if he would fish or not though I think it would be a blast... Also do you need a boat to go on the roadtrip?
  11. I have been looking in to them... I'm going to get one this spring...
  12. Rage craws are my favorite by far, fishing them in a number of ways... Jig trailer, texas rigged, rage rigged, etc... I love throwing a frog to...
  13. Are the trailers on the right subwoofers? They look good, I have been planning on getting some for swim jigs...
  14. Same fish for sure... Pretty cool
  15. Yes, it is a sport... It is now officially a sport in my state, which is awesome! Here's an article about my team this year and how I got a team started in my school (we did horrible in the championship, I did get a real nice smallie though)... https://www.nashuatelegraph.com/sports/high-schools/2013/10/17/milford-junior-helps-launch-nhiaa-bass-fishing-event/ I believe bowling and golf for example are also sports because the SCORE IS DEFINITE, apposed to cheer leading and gymnastics where the score is decided by judges. Don't get me wrong cheer leading and gymnastics are very physically demanding but aren't a sport in my book... It's the "DEFINITE Vs. INDEFINITE SCORE" that dictates whether something is a sport or not... Obviously chess is not a sport though...
  16. You guys should join our competition next year... Here is an example from the month of Sept. where the rules are described... http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/124375-who-wants-in-september/ It's a lot of fun, a prize isn't necessarily given to the winner each month, but people can volunteer to provide a prize if they'd like... Shane J provided a prize one month and I provided the one for last month...
  17. There has been a few threads on this before...
  18. You have got to join our competitions next year!
