  1. Interesting indeed, my thought would be how solid of a hook set the bobber stop could withstand without moving. My thought would be that when a fish grabs the bait and you go to set the hook it moves...
  2. The Big EZ....
  3. Rage Tail DB Craw as a trailer on a football jig - I'm not sure what brand this jig is, it may be a V&M who make sweet jigs... Rage Grub as a trailer on a flipping jig (I really like the grub on a swim jig) -The jig itself, V&M Cliff Pace The Adrenaline Pacemaker
  4. I'm planning on just officially starting it in May like Shane said. Even if there are some places open in April I don't think a competition for that month would get that much action...
  5. So how are you guys targeting these fish?
  6. Nice fish! Looks like a cool spot too!
  7. I want my career to be intertwined with the bass fishing world, going pro is my dream and always will. But a job in marketing or managing some of these companies or even creating my own is a dream of mine. I have people who believe I can do it and others who think otherwise, and yes it'll be tough but I'm extremely motivated. I'm a Junior in High School and play 4 varsity sports, bass fishing, soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. I started the bass fishing team when I was a sophomore and finished 3rd and 6th in the tournaments last fall. I take Honors classes and some A level classes in school, I plan on challenging myself my senior year with AP We the People class (learn about the Constitution, founding fathers, and compete with other schools. My school has gone to nationals in D.C the past few years) and AP Statistics, along with my required English class and other academic electives. Everything I do in school and out is driven by my love of bass fishing, it's truly more than a hobby... P.S. - I'm on Bassresource at midnight on a school night (homework is all done), gotta have the Bassresource time or the day is not complete!
  8. 65# PowerPro, 5lbs bass... Pretty impressive....
  9. Maybe he was talking about that new fluoro that just came out, apparently you can't see it from a naked eye
  10. Those are some nice looking jacks!
  11. Rage Tail are my two middle names! I swear by these baits! The ratio of Rage Tail baits to all my other soft plastics has gotta be like 10:1! It doesn't matter which one you throw they all do the job! Recon worm, Craw, and Smokin' Rooster are probably my favorite 3 but its hard to even choose a top 3. They're the real deal!
  12. No pic = No fish Hahaha, congrats on the PB man!
  13. I have, live target's explanation is that when a fish goes for a normal crank bait they think it is a ball of bait. So their new lure embellishes the fact that it's a ball of bait, whether that true or not those and normal cranks catch fish... I just picked up a live target field mouse to try out.
  14. Rage Cut'R Worm! Killlllaaa! You can use it in a number of ways, weightless, texas rigged, keel weighted, swim jig trailer, etc.
  15. I got mine when it was $125, the first time I fished with it was on my vacation with Captain Shane on Okeechobee. Spooled with 65# PowerPro... It did the job, I love it...
  16. The only reason why equipment would change would be for the change in location from where you may find a LM versus a SM. That would then affect what you would present to them and how you'd do that.
  17. Trion, President is worth the upgrade though...
  18. Yeah there's no fish up here in NE...
  19. Glad to see high school bass fishing spreading. It seems like I see a new topic about a new high school team a couple a times a month now! I started mine two years ago, it's a blast! The first year was a trial tourney and this school year we came in 3rd in the qualifier and 6th in the championship. We're hoping to win it all this fall!!! Good luck to you guys!
  20. 10-16" for those of you in the northern part on NH/VT... JEEEZZ!!!!! We're supposed to only get 1-3" thankfully! We just gotta wait this stuff out, spring is coming... But she's taking her sweet 'ol time!
  21. I'm thinking we'll be able to get on the water withing the first week or two of April
