Got him when he was 37lbs, he is now 165lbs, he won't be getting on any boat lol... This pic was taken last year when he was 5-7months old.. He's huge now!

I think that a lot of kayak fisherman are finnesse anglers therefore spinning gear, not all though. I do almost all my fishing in my canoe and throw a baitcaster 90%+ of the time...

So I just found out that for High School bass fishing the teams that place 1st and 2nd from each state go to the national championships in Tennessee (4 day event) ! This year we came in 3rd place in the qualifier for the championships and we had a bad day in the championships besides my PB smallie at 3.48lbs and came in 6th out of 11 teams in the championship which was pretty dissapointing. So the teams who finshed 1st and 2nd will be in TN for nationals this July, I know our team can win this! We need to look at this one tourney at a time, we need to qualify for the state championship, and then finish top two there... To be honest if we got dead last in nationals I wouldn't really mind, not saying we wouldn't be able to do good down there but the experience who be incredible! The winning team gets quite a bit of prizes from the BASS sponsors and scholorships from Bethel Universtity and even BASS. And one angler from the winning team gets a spot on the Bethel University Bass Fishing Team. I'm SO SO SO determined to make it to nationals! We have our captain from last year for the qualifier and Shane may captain us for the championship, I know we can do this! Fly Fisherman, our two other friends on the team and I are really gonna dig down!

That could very well be a 4 pound fish, The fish may be perpendicular with the ground but the angle of the camera could be making it look rather shorter... Looks smaller than 4 to me but who knows, great fish regardless!

Ice out to ice over is artificial bait only For me anyway...

A small small pond that got water from a pond that is now drained has produced several 4+ fish, the biggest that I have got out of there was around 3lbs. My friend landed his PB there at 6lbs 1oz (I took the photo)

That's what I thought, I wasn't sure If their biological clock would get them spawning anyway...

Here's a question I have for you guys which may be obvious to you but I'm curious... Since this years ice out will be later than usual will spawn be longer and or later? Will it affect spawn is my question?

I know for a fact that I'm getting a lot better every year and becoming more and more obsessed with it every year! I know this is going to be a year of some absolute HAWGS and the excitement and anticipation is killing me! Bass fishing is my life, I really want to pursue a career within the bass fishing world in one way or another. Whether it be as a professional angler, owner of a company, or someone who is involved with marketing for these companies, I want my job to be intertwined with bass fishing. I plan on going to school for business or something in that nature. I wanna make it happen... I know it's going to take a lot of work but I want it SO BAD!

Still an interesting concept, only if the bobber stop could be pegged solid somehow... Some sort of glue maybe?
