  1. Wow, nice work man!
  2. Definitely try to get the jig in your arsenal... There really isn't a time when I'm out on the water and a jig isn't tied on at least one of my rods... Besides there being multiple different kinds of jigs for specific types of fishing whether it's a swim jig, football jig, flipping jig, etc. you can really personalize your jig presentation which is probably one of the main reasons why I'm so attracted to them. That and that they flat out catch fish once you know what you're doing with them.. It wasn't to long ago before Shane taught me the ins and outs of jig fishing and it boosted my fishing skill and IQ a lot! As soon as you tie a jig on the window is wide open, selecting your trailer and or trailer color and then going as far as adding some JJs gives you the angler the power to be as creative as you want. Caught my PB on this jig - Outkast RTX w/ caffeine shad as trailer V&M Pacemaker swim jig w/ Rage Tail Shellcracker as the trailer Other jigs with some Rages on the back And like Mainebass was saying cranks can be a good bait to add too... Last year was my first year seriously fishing a crank and boy it was fun, had some really fun days with largemouth and smallmouth ~ same with jigs of course
  3. We were throwing some big golden shiners for a little bit, but went on to artificials which I prefer... The biggest one there (6.5) was caught on a spinnerbait but I did get a bite on a shiner that would have definitely been a PB but she shook the hook... We did do some flipping as well and that only generated one bite, spinnerbait caught lots of quality fish...
  4. I know! I had been getting all my college stuff done and what not and now I'm in my last semester of high school so I've finally got time to come back on!
  5. That's awesome man! Nice fish and good looking spot!
  6. My dad and I got to fish Okeechobee on Monday, it was my second time on the lake and we had a blast! Won't be doing any fishing up in New Hampshire for awhile and this really got my bass juices flowing again... Can't wait til spring!
  7. Biggest bass of the day went 6.5 caught a few 5s and a bunch of 3-4 pounders.. I did miss a big gal who spit the hook after a nice jump, fish was definitely pushing 8.... Also caught two mudfish in the 8 pound range...
  8. Doing some inshore fishing tomorrow and Okeechobee on monday.... Sorry had to share lol
  9. Hey guys I haven't been on in a while with work and college stuff and what not but I'm getting antsy... My dad and I are heading down to Florida next week and will mostly be saltwater fishing but will be guided on Okeechobee for a day, hoping to get one bigger than last year on O. Missin these fish..
  10. Really nice lookin' fish! Sounds like an awesome day!
  11. I started my high school team and a school club. PM me
  12. Best bet would probably be to buy the slow sink version... ^^^^^^^^^
  13. Caffeine Shad, Rage Lobsters, and even Rage Smokin' Roosters are my main big trailer baits... Weird... I just realized each of those baits caught my top 3 fish this year lol... Cafferine Shad ~ 6-10 Lobster ~ 6-1 Smokin' Rooster ~ 6
  14. From that it says fisheries said it was actually 8# but I don't know... I was just searching around, it was posted in '12 anyway

  17. 6lbs 10oz on the Outkast RTX jig with a caffeine shad as the trailer
  18. Got my PB yesterday while fishing with Shane, didn't end up going on our smallie excursion. It was caught on the Outkast RTX jig with a caffeine shad as a trailer... 6-10
  19. That's crazy! Must of been caught right in my backyard... Shane and I are going for BIG smallies sunday, hopefully we can show you guys and trophy smallmouth!
  20. Nothing huge the biggest one was dead upon weigh in and would have went around 2.5 then we weighed in our next biggest wich was a 2.25 smallie, we another LM close to that size as well... Then the rest were solid fish to round out the limit...
  21. We came in 1st out of 33 teams at the qualifying tournament, then 4th at the championship... Not too bad
  22. Sooo I show up to our spot at 5:45 in an absolute downpour... I said what the hell and we embarked out on our wet trip. First fish of the day was ona Yo-zuri pencil bait and went around 2lbs... I switched up to the biggest of the livetarget mice and immediately had a real nice blow up at least 4lbs, prob bigger, but the rain was so loud and it was still pretty dark so it was pretty hard to detect a hit... But I did see the fish fly out of the water just didn't get a good hookset on him. Then moved to a spinnerbait and caught one close to 3 then a 2.75 on back to back casts with my brand new Lew's BB1 (LOVE IT)... When the sun was up we mainly fished a drop shot and pulled a bunch of small ones, until the last cast of the day a 3.5 was caught on a T-Rig...
