Broward / Ty Park
Vista View is loaded with bass and a good number of big ones. I have pulled a number of 6 pounders out of there over the years. I know of a guy that pulled a ten out of the smaller south side lake. There are plenty of open spots all around the lakes to cast with no problems. On week days there is no entrance fee. The only problem with these lakes is sometimes they get so full of vegetation they are hard to fish from the bank. They do spray them from time to time, and there is a good population of snakes along the bank. Right now there is no problem anywhere on the lake for weeds.

Broward / Ty Park
Heritage Park in Plantation is a good one. Vista View in Davie is good. Markum Park in Sunrise has lots of fish and snakeheads in it. These lakes are catch and release only lakes and hold some big fish.

Pit Fishing
I might start with a top water plug, like a chug bug, rapala #11 stick bait, or frog. Then move to a plastic and work the column. The clearer the water the longer the cast. If you can see them, they can see you. Make long casts parallel to the shore. Work that everticle wall. Look for water vegitation close to the drop off, and work that area hard. Use a zoom trick worm, fluke, or senko fished slow and let it drift through the water column. Be patient and work it slow.

Canal Behind Falls Shopping Center Miami
Peacock fishing peaks when the water temp climbs into the high 80*, low 90*, on a bright sunny day at high noon. Good luck save it for summer.

Which Line Size Should I Use?
To me choosing a line size depends on where you are going to fish. The thicker the stuff your fishing in, the heavier the line. In south flkorida I will NEVER use less then 15 pound Floro or mono. Braid I use much heavier test only because there are fewer problems controlling the line with heavier braid. When I fished up north years ago, I would use 8 pound test all the time.

February & March In Miami
If it stops raining and the water drops a little more in the canals the numbers could be off the charts. We have had 200 fish a day especially in March, and April. It all depends on water levels in the glades. L67c is a great choice this time of years. Just watch the bank sides, solid gagged rock. Stay in the middle of that narrow canal when running. Early mornings I would start with Chug Bug, Zara Spook, or frog. Then move to a senko type bait, fluke or trick worm. If you run far enough there is a pad field in the middle of the canal. Always a good spot. Good luck!

Concealed Carry 380
I'm thinking about a small 380 for a concealed carry weapon. I want something small that can be concealed with just shorts and polo. Living in Florida, most of the year is spent in summer wear. Any recommendations on make?

Soft Jerkbaits- Different Brands For Various Techniques?
Zoom fluke is my favorite. Watermelon red, watermelon glitter, black, or shad. Can be fished a bunch of different ways. I try to let the fish tell me how they want it.

Help Me With Better Hooking Technique
I agree with allot of the comments above. Make sure there is no slack between the fish and the rod tip before the set. Floro line or braid will provide better feel and little line stretch leading too rock solid hook sets.

What Is Wrong With Me And Fluro?
I personally I love Floro for the sensitivity and the clarity in water it provides. I only use it for worms, flukes, senkos, and other plastics. Because of South Florida's thick vegetation, I only use at least 15 pound test. Not all floro's are the same. Berkley 100% floro professional grade, is the only stuff I use, and I have tried a bunch of others. I use a Palomar knot and have no problems at all, I do wet it and pull tight slowly. I also spray the line often and it does help. I think it might get stiffer in real cold weather, we don't have that problem often. If you get a backlash don't get aggressive forcing the line, you will damage it. I believe floro helps my worm fishing, and I have confidence in it. I use it almost everyday. Good luck, expensive but great stuff.

Do You Think Anyone Will Ever Catch ' The ' Bass, you Know The 24Lb Monster
In nature the system is for organisms to continue to get stronger, bigger, faster, and smarter. Its natural selection, and the top dog, horse, lion, bear and tiger are the ones that breed. The fish that makes it up the river, over the rapids, past the bears are the ones too breed. So the stong survive. The weak get filter out of the gene pool by competition, and / or mother nature. The Bigger, stronger, faster, live on and father the next generation and the cycle just continues. There will be bigger bass in the future unless man screws it up!

Florida Everglades L67 Report
How far did you run west? Did you go past the weir and into the three pines area? The Alley was slow this weekend after a good January. A number of guys were suprised at the slow bite.

Website for ethanol free gas locations
Florida also has a list of stations with non-ethanol fuel throughout the entire state. It is sometimes call recreational fuel and usually 90 octane. It is significantly more expensive but worth the cost in the long run. It is also not good to mix the two fuels. Almost all Marinas have non ethanol.

Do You Think Anyone Will Ever Catch ' The ' Bass, you Know The 24Lb Monster
Yes I do believe a bigger one will be caught. Way back when, if you caught a fish you killed it. With catch and release big fish are being put back daily to be caught again. As for the California big fish, they are being feed stocked trout every year and the bass love them. This certainly leads to the super growth, in California's catch and release lakes. I have no idea what going on in Japan, but there are some monster bass. I'm sure a new worlds record is sitting around just waiting for something with a hook to swim bye.

How Do You Fish A Wacky Rig?
Everyone is giving great advice. One common denominator is fish it slow. A gentle shake on or near the bottom is where I start. I have also done quite well with a sharp snap off the bottom and let it settle again. They often hit it on the settle. You have to be a line watcher, and keep slack line on the fall. The fish will tell you how they want it that day. My favorite plastic is a zoom trick worm, black or watermelon red. When things get tough I go to wacky rig. Good luck, you will catch fish.

Alligator Alley Catch Rate
What a difference a few days can make. I went back to the Alley MM39 on the north side. It was producing almost 100 fish a day through the month of January. Saturday 2/8/14 that rate tumbled to a miserable 10 fish in four hours. We had heavy rains this week and the water levels went up a little. Whenever you think you have it figured out, mother nature throws you a curve ball. That's fishing for you! Can't wait to go again.

Any Recommendations For A Yamaha Mechanic In Broward.
I want to thank Captain Shane for recommending Don, of Don's Marine. He was a super professional guy and went step by step through everything he did with me. He came out to the house with all tools needed to do the job. I did not have to strip the boat and leave it for a week. This was a big plus. Boat is running good now. I now will recommend Don to anyone in need. Thanks again Shane.

Using Google Earth
I love google earth and use it all the time especially on new waters. Some cool stuff guys have mentioned about going back in time. Great for lakes with changing water levels. The university of Florida has a cool site for Florida fisherman all over the state. There is a free site with over 100 state topo maps of the favorite bass lakes. You can print them out before hitting a new Fla. lake. A big help when planning a trip.

Does Noise Actually Bother You?
I fish almost everyday, most of the time from the shore. There is nothing better then fishing a bank and listening to Pandora at the same time. It helps me concentrate on what Im doing. So noise is never a problem for me, I can always mask it out with something I really enjoy.

Snake !
The last couple of days a large python 18+ feet was shot and killed on a levee. At that size they are indestructible and apex predator. Glad they shot her.

Why, Why, Why Is It Discontinued?
It doesnt make sense that they stopped production. Sounds like they cant stay up with demand, and are sold out in your area.
