  1. Look at Tin boats. The max width I can measure (side guide on) is right at 90" I got a 06 Lowe Stinger 170
  2. Here is the thing, even though they might have cracks, its still covered by Falcon's Warranty. The one I got for $15 had a cracked handle under the EVA. 3rd time out, it broke, so I sent it in. Waiting fkr my replacement to arrive. $15 for the rod. $4 to ship, $19 bucks for a perfect, brand new Squarebill Rod that is light as a feather? I'M GAME!!!
  3. http://www.wincoscustomlures.com/Yesterday/html/reduced_snagjigs.html I use these. Great hooks, great guy to buy from
  4. Id love to catch a big Shoalie as well as a mean mouth!
  5. Thats whats being thrown out so far. I wouldnt be opposed to a single meet. But it seems like the experience was better having more BS time
  6. Frantz, its not about the lure or presentation! Its about the fish and fisherman reading the water.
  7. I picked up a Bucoo medium moderate for 15 bucks.
  8. 6 hrs, Hell I'll go to Fork, Ten Killer, Eufala, etc... Maybe I could fly in to Hazel!
  9. What if the fish don't want to chase a Spinnerbait, or a Crank? Would Kevin and Mark not be on a pattern? What if they figured out the fish wasn't chasing, switched to a jig or 10" Black Grape Mag Worm TRigged, and then caught the fish. Would they be more apt to toss the jig/worm at the next piece of isolated brush on a flat or a moving bait?
  10. Here I thought patterning was deciphering the day on the water to be able to eliminate "bad" water. Figuring out where the fish are, what mood they are, what colors they want, what presentation they want of a bait. So I can go to said brushpile with a crank telephone, drop a couple wires over and turn the handle. That would be my pattern?
  11. Trick Worm. Watermelon Candy So versatile. CRig, Wacky, Shakey Head, Drop Shot, Swinging Football Head, Weightless TRigged, Lightwire jighead, Texas Rig.
  12. I thought choppy water meant the wind was blowing! I just try to catch fish. The lakes I fish aren't big enough to pattern anything. But I do have confidence lures for each. Could be the same lures/presentation or not as other lakes in the area.
  13. Yea, it wasnt as bad as the fishoff. I hope it is all in my head. Suppose to backseat on LOZ in November. Maybe Ill learn a thing or 2. HAHAHA
  14. To boaters you co-angle with? Seems like everytime I back seat a boater, we have a real tough day of fishing.
  15. Frogs, i retrieve with the rod tip up a little. When they blow up on it, i drop the tip, reel the slack and set the hook. Count to 3. 1 will be dropping the rod tip. 2 is reeling the slack, 3 is setting the hook
  16. Stanley Ribbits are good, but not the same as the Horny Toads. Bigger plop plop as opposed to the subtle plip plip by the Horny Toad.
  17. I use Zoom Horny Toad Hooks. They are made by Gamakatsu.
  18. Black Toads areva tad more durable IMO
  19. Went to local pit today with my youngest. Cameron. He is on the Autism Spectrum. He had a blast! Fishing started slow, little 2lb chunk on a swimjig, couple small ones off a point on a Carolina Rigged Lizard. (Yea, thats right CHRIS!!!) Bite was slow, painfully slow. Wind howling out of the south. Drifted down to where a big sandbar extends out with a bunch of grass. AND THEY WERE STACKED!!! CRigged Lizard and Trick Worm paid the bills. 8 in about the last 30-45 minutes of the day. 15 total with the biggest being little under 3. I found out that Oakley Quantum Rod has the backbone of a wet noodle. Gotta adjust my arsenal some.
  20. Im down for Milford. Cabin is cool with me.
  21. Suprised Clayton hasnt already started working on this. Ill get it going, and start getting Suggestions for Locales and Dates. I was thinking Mid to Late October, Early November. Locations, the usual suspects. Melvern, Wabaunsee, Wolf Creek, or another Suggestion. Heck Id be up for Grand again. (I know Curt wouldn't though!) I'll even suggest Wilson SFL near Chanute, KS. One ofI the top Spotted Bass lakes in KS Lets get discussing!

That kinda looks like a craw I picked up at Grand. What I got was called "The Same Thing" or something like that. $2.50/pack
  23. MS Slammers are ~$30-40.
  24. $80? For what?
  25. Slow roll wake, pause, twitch, rinse repeat. Lube her up with Megastrike. I use Pline CXX in the 20lb range for all swimbaits.
