  1. Everywhere Ive looked, I cant seem to find 1/16th "Worm Nose Hooks" (Same as Gopher) with Quality Hooks. Only 1/16 Ive seen is Ebay. And I think they had big hooks. I believe 3/32 is the smallest mold though. I could be mistaken. Maybe a custom mold. I put a order in with TW for some Outkast Money Jigs. 1/16 with Gammy hooks. Nice fish Drew, ahem I mean Elizabeth. ROFL I love getting outfished by my wife.
  2. Drew, where were y'all? I was going up the dam from S to N. I saw a boat over by the Cour d'Alene campground where you caught that big one.
  3. 15 fish for the day. Mixed bag. Smallies, few Whites, couple Drum, and a Channel. Picked a couple on Dropshot Zinkerz. Need more work on "The Ned" though.
  4. Lucky for me, I scrounged all over Wichita and found the components I needed for the Ned. Gander Mt don't sell Zinkerz, but they did have some 1/16oz jigheads, as well as some 3/32 Mushroom looking ones by VMC, but the hooks are a bit big IMO, so I will try and see, if not, I have some 3/32 Sickles that a friend poured for me, Then Zeiners had NADA, then finally, Cabelas has the ZMans. So we will see. Might even try a Tiny Torpedo early morning to see of a topwater bite is going. Anyone tried Dropshotting a 2.5" Zinkers on a #1 hook? Might have to try that to see how it fairs.
  5. Nice fish.... im planning on going tomorrow, what kind of presentations were working?
  6. 5 with 8mph gusts is forecasted. But I know to not trust forecasts in KS.
  7. Was going to hit a local lake today, but after seeing all the Bronzebacks in the MeetUp thread, I wanna head to Melvern Sunday. Ill be in a orange kayak SO DONT RUN OVER ME!!! Stop by and say hey.
  8. Thanks for the links. Thoroughly enjoyed the read.
  9. I wish I would have signed up sooner to get in on this. I have a kayak, but would have loved to try and best some of yalls catch. Read through the whole post and got some good info. THANKS!!!! Got to try a Ned rig. I live near Wichita, so Melvern is prime and closest Smallie waters.
  10. nOOb to the site, I know. Been lurking for a bit. Bit about myself. Fish from a kayak, mainly LMB fisherman cause nearest smallie lake is 2 hours (Melvern). But ever so often I get to go chase the brown fish. Now, that I've said that. I've had some success at Melvern. Just wanted to get pointed in a good direction, other than Marina Cove. Thanks
